The recent earthquakes in Turkey and Syria have devastated the lives of thousands of people. Homes have been destroyed, families have been displaced, and lives have been lost. As the world has watched in horror, many are wondering what they can do to help.
At Zerion we wanted to find our own way to alleviate even a small bit of suffering and thought our community could help us support the people and organizations on the ground helping those in the most in need.
We were inspired when we saw Vitalik had donated 50 ETH to an organization called Anka Relief and then 99 ETH to AHBAP Earthquake Support.
The crypto community as a whole has once again come together to contribute to helping Turkey recover from these devastating earthquakes. The Avalanche Foundation donated $1M in AVAX tokens and CZ has promised to contribute $5M as well.
One of the more challenging aspects when people want to donate to disaster aid projects is that they often aren’t sure their money really reaches the right people and organizations. This is a problem solved by the blockchain transparency and we saw the power of crypto donations in the outpouring of support for the Ukrainian people last year.
We want to involve our community in this effort and try to play a small role in helping the Turkish & Syrian people in this time of need.
To do your part you just need to collect this Mirror post for 0.005 ETH. We’ll make 10,000 editions available so we can raise 50 ETH if we sell out. We’ll then post the Etherscan links showing the funds being transferred to Anka Relief.
Anka Relief is a web3 native multi-sig relief fund dedicated to providing emergency relief to those affected by these disasters. Their team is committed to transparently and fairly work with large organizations to ensure vital money and resources reaches the people who need it most. By supporting Anka Relief, you can help ensure that their important work continues.

AHBAP Derneği is another Turkish non-profit organization that works to promote the rights and well-being of families, individuals, and social policies. It operates within Turkey and aims to raise awareness about important social issues and advocate for positive change. In response to the earthquakes, AHBAP has become one of the most active groups in the region coordinating the response and helping people on the ground.
