Hey friends 👋
The past couple of weeks have been a whirlwind. Between shows, spaces, Summit prep, and then the post-event wave of DMs and emails (all while keeping the shows running), getting this newsletter out hasn’t been easy. But documenting the journey matters—so here we are!
And wow… Onchain Summit was an unforgettable experience.
The Base community truly showed up in a special way. The energy, the hugs, the joy of meeting people we usually only see on screens. It’s hard to put the magic into words, but I’ll do my best here 😂
Being part of the media crew meant months of work, collabs, and anticipation all leading up to one unforgettable multi-day event that we’ll be talking about for the next year.
And the cherry on top? Onchain Media turned 1! 🎊 What started at last year’s Summit has now grown into something I’m incredibly proud of—and celebrating that milestone right here at Summit made it even more meaningful.

Walking up to the Howard, you couldn’t miss it.
Two buildings freshly painted—one Base blue, one black—with the signature summit smile (with three rounded teeth) smiling at you.
Before the event, I also saw posts of billboards and bus stop signs where my cartoon PFP was included with the community, before I even got to the event. Talk about surreal.
Many of us stayed at the W across the street. Every time I stepped out of the elevator, I ran into a friend, a colleague, and even had a moment while driving near the venue when I heard a group yelling “Rachel Onchainnnnn!” 🤣
The joy I felt was overwhelming. Spending hours of my life doing spaces, streams, and working to build up the Base community, I really felt that energy reciprocated IRL and was so excited to spend time with friends.
It felt like the Base community had taken over on Howard Street. All the vibes, all the hugs, all the joy of finally meeting the people we usually only see on screens.

This wasn’t some massive super-conference. Summit was intimate. Big enough to feel like a moment in time, but small enough that we all know each other.
And the caliber of people? Chef’s kiss.
Coinbase engineers cooking for builders. Jesse Pollak, the creator of Base, in the mix (even while under the weather). Emmy- and Oscar-winning creators sharing their craft. And some of the most passionate humans you’ll ever meet.
On the first day I was in town, I also premiered a new X space show with the Own The Doge and Cocoro team called "Unleashed" which was a an absolute blast! Catch the replay below:

I could easily fill an entire newsletter just on this part of the event!
We all joined together, alongside Emmy and Oscar winning creators for a truly magical day, organized by the Film3 Festival team alongside Flannel Donut. On Sunday, the space filled with people eager to experience more than 30 projects—ranging from animated series to live-action shorts to documentary films.
And a personal highlight: co-creating and premiering my very first documentary with Jawna Standish & Zeitza Labs!
We even had the honor to talk about the creative experience live on a panel at the event.

Spending the day immersed in a full theatrical experience—seeing our film on the big screen in front of a live audience—was a moment I’ll carry for life.
The Film3 Festival proved there’s real space for creators, dreamers, and filmmakers to thrive onchain. And this is only the beginning.
Stay tuned for more on the Film3 side of things, as I am now officially a member of the Film3 DAO! 🎊

Huge thanks to the Summit team for bringing me back again. Last year, I had the honor of MC’ing. This year, I was in the media room running back-to-back interviews, spotlighting incredible people and projects from the community. And already—I can’t wait for next year.
With love,
Rachel Onchain
