Basic information about Cetus: Cetus is a pioneering decentralized exchange and liquidity protocol built on the Aptos blockchain. It focuses on delivering the best trading experience and superior capital efficiency to DeFi users by building its concentrated liquidity protocol and a series of affiliate functional modules. This document describes the concepts related to Cetus and introduces the core products it provides. Link: https://cetus-1.gitbook.io/cetus-docs/overview/introduction
Step-by-step instructions (marked with arrows and a box in orange color):
Step 1: Access the website: https://app.cetus.zone/
Step 2: Connect Wallet
Follow the specific instructions in the picture, at the location of arrow 1, you choose the Aptos Mainnet network (avoid confusion with the Sui network, which is currently in the Testnet and Devnet phase) Then follow arrow 2, click on the Connect Wallet button
A list of Cetus-supported wallets will appear, You can choose the Aptos wallet you are using (for this tutorial I am using Martian to connect)
A pop-up of the wallet you chose will appear, click on the Approve button
*Check once again to see if the network that the wallet is connected to is Aptos mainnet, if it’s wrong you may lose your money
Step 3: Swap
Now you have successfully connected and will proceed with transactions such as swapping, providing liquidity… Follow the sequence of steps from 0 to 5 0/ Click on the Swap tab 1/ Then choose the Token to swap (here I choose APT) 2/ Enter the number of Tokens (I choose 0.1 APT) 3/ Choose the Token to receive (I choose USDC) 4/ Check the fee level, the minimum amount of tokens to receive 5/ Click on the Swap button to proceed with the exchange
There is a pretty cool feature of Cetus compared to other platforms is that you can see the price chart of both tokens when swapping, this increases visualization and helps us to make a rough prediction, of the price movement of the token pair.
There will be a Popup from Cetus asking to confirm the transaction. Click on Confirm swap
Next, there will be 1 Popup from your wallet asking you to accept the transaction, click on Approve
Transaction result has been sent and successful
After the swap, you can check the balance in your wallet or you can take a quick look at the Cetus interface, you can see my APT is only ~0.7 and my current USDC is ~ 1.4
Step 4: Provide liquidity
Follow the instructions on the picture 1/ Click on the Pools tab 2/ We just swapped the APT-USDC pair, so we can choose the pools with the APT-USDC pair to provide liquidity (Here I choose the APT-USDC pair from LayerZero) 3/ Click the Add liquidity button
1/ Select Range: there are 4 tabs for you to choose from depending on your needs (I choose Conservative by default) 2/ Check the maximum number of Tokens that can be deposited into the liquidity 3/ Enter the number of tokens (do not exceed the maximum number, otherwise it will cause an error) 4/ Click the button: Add Liquidity
Similar to when performing Swap, popups will appear one after another Click on Add Liquidity
Click on Approve
Wait a few seconds, then a popup will appear informing the transaction results. Click View Detail to check the results.
1/ You can see the number of Tokens you have deposited into the liquidity 2/ You can increase the number of Tokens deposited or can withdraw part or all of the tokens you have deposited.
Conclusion: Thus, I have detailed and specific step-by-step instructions when connecting, swapping, and sending liquidity to the Aptos mainnet network through the Cetus platform. Each token pair you choose will depend on the needs of each user, the same goes for liquidity pools. Good luck!
