MyShell, an opBNB-based AI platform, successfully raised $5.6 million in a seed funding round, positioning the company at a valuation of $57 million. INCE Capital led the funding round, with participation from prominent investors such as Hashkey Capital, Folius Ventures, SevenX Ventures, OP Crypto, and others. MyShell also initiated a smaller pre-seed round earlier this year, raising $200,000 from friends and the crypto community.

About MyShell

MyShell, launched in May, operates as a web3-enabled AI platform. It empowers users to create personalized chatbots known as "Shells." These chatbots serve both content creators and consumers, allowing creators to build AI content bots, while consumers can discover and use these bots.

The web3 integration means that both creators and consumers stand to benefit from token rewards. Creators receive MyShell's native token as their content bots gain traction, while consumers can stake tokens on AI bots, generating income.

Since its May launch, MyShell boasts more than 30,000 creators and over 400,000 users. The platform's mission is to introduce a creator ecosystem into the blockchain space, addressing challenges faced by the AI industry, including transparency, centralization, and misaligned incentives. MyShell aims to foster an ecosystem where users have true ownership of their creations and receive fair compensation for their work.

Transition to opBNB

While currently offering features on Polygon, MyShell intends to migrate its platform to opBNB. This decision aligns with opBNB being a Layer 2 network on the BNB Chain utilizing Optimism's OP Stack or Optimistic rollups technology.

MyShell boasts a team of 25 individuals, including co-founders Rick Lin and Charles Qin, both highly experienced in AI product development. Furthermore, co-founder Ethan Sun brings valuable experience from his time at China-based AI unicorn Aibee. The project is set to benefit from its visionary founders and innovative approach.
