Attending ETH Barcelona marked a first for me (and for the city of Barcelona). It was the first time that I participated at this type of conference and boy, it was nothing like what I had imagined in my mind.
As my background lies in hospitality, I had the chance of participating at some smaller and bigger industry gatherings. However, these always seem very tight and without a real connection between participants and the topics discussed or presented.
The event’s organization was great, with a registration, coffee and merch areas downstairs ( big open room), complemented by a live DJ booth and 2 NFT expositions.
Upstairs, there were two stages - Sky (main) and Forrest ( secondary) and different areas like - co-working area, Workshop area, Relaxation area, another NFT exposition and a Sponsor’s area ( all these areas had specific names - however, I don’t remember them all). On the 1st floor there was also a huge terrace where the 2nd DJ booth was placed, as well as a bar.
10 days after the event, and I am still processing all the talks, panels and workshops I attended. Being my first crypto conference, I was thirsty for information, so the first two days, I attended events back to back. Although my focus was on DAO related topics, some really new concepts (for me) that attracted my interest were Regenerative Finance & Regenerative Economy.
If you are curious to have a deeper dive in my ETH Barcelona experience, check-out this thread on Twitter, where I tried to summarize each day 👇

As my friend, Vru said it: it was a conference with a festival vibe. I think this summarize ETH Barcelona the best. The participants, the organizers, the speaker, the volunteers - all seemed to be happy to be here and connect with fellow like-minded people. From noobs to OG, everyone felt welcomed and included.
I feel very grateful for having the opportunity to attend this event, and learn so much in such a short period of time. ETH Barcelona, filled me with knowledge, connections, and drive to buidl.
My next stop is ETH Toronto and the Futurist Blockchain Conference taking place between 6th and 10th of August in Toronto, Canada.
This time, I will participate as a volunteer, so I am very excited about what this experience will bring.
