There won’t be any miracle if we keep everything in our life unchanged. Modern “digital” civilization won’t change for the better on its own. Wars and crimes go on in the information world. Military dictators and criminal geniuses will continue to appear.
This perfectly means world leaders should think not of expanding networks to collect unprotected information and not about the ways to control people’s thoughts but rather about a way to protect the citizens of their states from new threats of virtual world. It is clear that should the world society not take joint care on global information security the civilization will suffer from extremely devastating consequences. XXI century information war has absolutely different logic. The winner will be not the one who has the most powerful information theft means but the one who has the strongest security.
- Anatoly Klepov

Anatoly Klepov has joined the Tectum team.
He is an artist in cryptography and his methods have not been cracked.
Here is a story of his background, the story of a man who saved the world.
Клепов Анатолий Викторович
-|plays dramatic music|-

Shock Therapy.
The USSR fell and was to be reorganised from a centralised Communist power into a Capitalist Democracy. Quickly.
Boris Yeltsin embarked on this ambitious program and in short order social problems were rife.
Russia had a dramatic and sharp decline in living standards.
Basic goods became hyperinflated.
Welfare programmes were cut.
Health care services disappeared
Alcoholism was exacerbated. Yeltsin succumbed to his.
Food shortages occurred.
Birth rates declined.
Life expectancies dropped.
Poverty was worsen and lifestyles were collapsing into vagrancy and destitution.
USA pushed for mass privatisation and Russa had a rapid sell off of its previously state-owned enterprises, those in close proximity to the government received these assets at unbelievably low prices. The USA pledged loans to help along with the IMF as Yeltsin had to subsidise industries to seize some control over the burgeoning social unrest.
Loans always have a recursive impact in these cases as they came with tight restraint on budgets meaning austere measures on social spending.
And it all could have collapsed complete if it wasn’t for the intervention of Anatoly Klepov.

The whole federation, the house of cards, the appearance of civility, was about to come crashing down due to … fraud.
The system relied on traditional paper-based signatures or stamps, which were relatively easy to forge or simple phone-calls any con-man could make.
The banking sector became a particular hotspot for instability. Hundreds of private banks were established almost overnight, many of them with minimal oversight and little regulatory structure to keep them in check. The Central Bank of Russia (CBR), responsible for regulating the financial system, was overwhelmed by the sheer volume of new institutions requiring authorisation to operate. This lack of control made the banking sector a prime target for corruption and criminal activity, with organised crime syndicates and corrupt officials taking advantage of the system’s vulnerabilities.
One of the most significant threats to Russia’s banking stability was the proliferation of counterfeit bank authorisations.
Now just to really hammer home the danger here, this is not just a society collapsing that would lead to all sorts of horrors. This is a society on the brink of collapse that also has nuclear weapons.
Anton Klepov is a cryptographer, in 1972 he started his service in the Soviet Army in radio intelligence. Here is where he worked on cryptographic equipment. Since 1990, he has been sole and continuous head of Ancort Company.
For the CBR, Klepov’s efforts included developing secure, encrypted channels for communication between banks and the CBR. He transformed the system from a paper-based one on the brink of collapse to am encrypted digitally secure one. His methods included the use of digital signatures, encrypted communication channels, and cryptographic keys—tools that could verify the authenticity of bank authorisations and make it virtually impossible for counterfeit documents to be used undetected.
This safeguarded Russia’s financial institutions, it not only saved the world from an ugly situation, it helped bring a standard to Russia’s encryption methods.

This chaotic situation was not a simple case of “here is Klepov to save the day”. No. He was disruption powerful people from stealing billions.
Angstrem plant was the greatest manufacture of microchips in the USSR. It was a co-founder of a small state R&D enterprise Ancort, which Klepov has been the sole president over ever since its founding.
In 1992, Ancort was the first in Russia to certify a portable encryption device MK-85C with the Federal Agency for Government Communications and obtained a permission to export it. Thousands of people, banks, enterprises and companies were exploiting the advice note and embezzling several hundreds of billions of dollars in cash.
Ancort secured the telegraphed and mailed advice notes with a unique cryptographic system and in 3 months the CBR received 8,000 hardware encryption devices. In the same time frame, 6,000 CBR employees were trained to use the devices and 2,000 payment processing centres received the equipment also.
If you were these criminals who were siphoning the wealth of Russia and this was in your way, you go to the source. They attempted to seize Angstrem plant that manufactured the devices. Countermeasures fended off this assault and when Mr. Kozlov, the Deputy Chairman of the Russian Central Bank, he started an investigation into this heist, half a year later he was shot.
Klepov was told by the CBR to not speak publicly about the stolen goods. No one could be trusted and Ancort’s encryption has never been broken.
Russia experienced one of the worst economic contractions in modern history, with GDP falling by nearly 50% between 1991 and 1998. By the late 1990s, approximately 40% of Russians were living below the poverty line. Yet the efforts of Klepov and Ancort in the end stabilized the Federation.
In 1996, Ancort Company was privatised and here is a certificate from Swedish John Hanstad - https://www.mttgroup.ch/upload/Swedish certificate.pdf. This certified Anatoly’s algorithm at the Swedish Kungliga Tekniskahögskolan (KTH) Royal Institute of Technology.
KTH granting conclusions on Nobel prizes held a deep 2-year-long study of the cryptoalgorithm and acknowledged Ancort’s algorithms non-decryptable even with the use of supercomputers.
Ancort’s equipment is crucial in war, saving countless soldier’s lives.
64 countries have had various encryption devices from Ancort: cryptophones, cryptofaxes, cryptomodems. Joint work with the South African organisations equipped a large number of African government organisations with encryption devices. Information security systems based on Ancort devices were created for the leaders of the countries like Oman, Saudi Arabia, UAE, Bahrain.
Secure cryptomail for Russian and foreign customers was accomplished by a joint project between Ancort and Samsung.
Ancort has also developed the first crypto-smartphone in the world that encrypted voice, SMS and email.
The device was developed in Singapore and assembled in Malaysia. This work was unique because the crypto-smartphone worked on Windows CE operating system that could operate only one microprocessor, while we had 2 microprocessors (second being a cryptochip).
Crypto-smartphone was certified by Russian Federal Security Service (FSS) to protect confidential information in accordance with the KS-1 standard.
Due to broken promises from Russia media agencies and companies, main sales of the crypto-smartphone were held abroad. There were approximately 8 thousand crypto-smartphones installed with a foreign crypto-algorithm that were widely sold for the price of 4-6 thousand Euros per unit with the cost of 300 Dollars.
Nicolas Sarkozy, the French President, was one customer.

This is the Diamond Ancort crypto-smartphone. This was designed by Peter Aloisson to make it have that exclusive panache, that va-va-voom to wealthy customers.
This phone is made of solid platinum, the Ancort logo and navigation key are 18 carat rose gold, with 28 round cut diamonds. The phone cost $1.2 million.
Ancort set up MTT in Switzerland, MTT stands for Mobile Trust Telecommunications in 2013 and prepped to further embrace encryption in the smart phone age.
Mobile phone security is majorly overlooked, George Bush highlighted the fact that hackers could intercept any phone. From Edward Snowden’s whistleblowing, UK, USA and Germany files show they have capabilities for the uncontrolled interception of information from virtually any global information system, including mobile communication.
MTT made the STEALTHPHONE. STEALTHPHONE system abides to the TEMPEST standard and is designed for:
State organizations;
Government organizations;
Ministries of Foreign Affairs;
Banks and financial structures;
Detective agencies;
Industrial structures;
Research centres;
Legal companies;
Medical establishments;
Individuals who value confidentiality of personal data.

Alex Guseff of Tectum excitedly spoke on one Tectum call that a major encryption player was highly interested in Tectum. Guseff sat down with this person and spoke about the blockchain and encryption. This player was impressed and wanted in.
Lo and behold, this major name was Anatoly Klepov and he is now officially a part of the Tectum team.
Tectum blockchain project began in 2007 in Kazan which is heavily involved in the digitisation of Russia. Kazan hosted the 16th BRICS summit and Alex Guseff presented the Tectum SoftNote to those present.
Tectum has gone through phases and evolved since 2007. The way it was designed was for logistics, IOT applications, and as a high-speed digital notary engine, dealing with a gargantuan amount of information. Gumar Kadyrov was leading the personnel of Tectum up until around 2019 and he discusses the Grig project.
Grig project was to provide anonymity, privacy and security to phones and finance. It was a defence grade messaging system. Gumar discussed in 2019 the team were utilising micro-gadgets to help with encryption, such as encryption within a Bluetooth headset.
Tectum's block size at best is 120 bytes with each block containing only one transaction, which is tiny but it can be much smaller meaning nodes in phone devices is possible. Now, I do not know for sure if the team were corresponding with Klepov in these years or not however, it would not surprise me if they had.
Regardless whether they did or not, this Grig project alone aligns with Anatoly’s line of work. The fact that the Tectum blockchain provides these small block sizes making them apt for encrypted micro-gadgets definitely aligns with Anatoly’s interests; a man who is an artist with encryption and one who is well aware of the advancements in Web3.
Do read my “Tectum | Beyond the Pitchdeck” if you wish to know some more background of Tectum.
The Tectum team have worked on three-factor authentication and have since worked on this to make it quantum proof, this is something that is important across the board of computational devices in any industry – IoT, healthcare, finance, and so on. With Anatoly’s input with his encryption that has never been broken, Tectum can make great strides.
Anatoly safeguarded the Russian financial system in time of dramatic strife, given the fact that Tectum can potentially rival SWIFT, this is a major addition to the project.
Anatoly, the man who made the world's first hardware crypto smartphone, the world's first hardware crypto messenger with a crypto wallet. The man who also saved the Russian Federation and the world…
… He is also an amazing chocolatier
