For me, it began with a conversation about blockchain, which led to a conversation about DeFi, which led me to buy a (PDF) copy of CoinGecko’s “How to DeFi”.

So since then, it’s been down the rabbit hole with Layer 1s/2s, Side Chains, Optimistic vs ZK-rollups, Staking, Yield Farming, Liquidity Pools, DEXs, Oracles, NFTs, GameFi, DAOs.. the list really doesn’t end.

And while there’s a ton of hype (and many scams) out there, I believe in the possibility of web3 doing something good. Whether it’s allowing content creators to directly accrue value, helping the unbanked get access to financing, reforming payment systems, or reimagining digital identity and asset ownership.

There’s a window of opportunity to create something.

Let’s not waste it.
