Pepe Unchained: Migration to Our New Layer-2 Ecosystem
Migration OverviewDue to the deprecation of Custom Gas Tokens (CGT) on OP Rollups, which were integral to our previous infrastructure, we have made the strategic decision to migrate Pepu Unchained to a new, fully secure Layer-2 solution powered by Arbitrum. This ensures long-term performance, scalability, and security for the ecosystem. When working on this migration, it became very clear that we also needed to launch an entirely new $PEPU token. Which is what we have done to ensure the futur...

Q: Can you describe your project in a few sentences?
Gameyard is a competitive PvP gaming platform designed for players who want skill to matter. The platform allows players to compete against each other in skill based games where rewards are earned through performance, strategy, and mastery rather than luck or pay to win mechanics.
Gameyard focuses on fairness, competition, and rewarding talent, creating an environment where players can grow, compete, and be recognized for their ability.
Q: Why did you start this project?
I started Gameyard after noticing a clear gap in the gaming space. Many platforms rely heavily on luck, pay to win models, or repetitive gameplay loops that do not truly reward skill.
I wanted to build a platform where players are rewarded purely based on their ability, strategy, and performance. The goal was to create a fairer and more engaging experience for competitive gamers who want outcomes to be decided by skill alone.
Q: What are your main goals for Gameyard?
Gameyard aims to build a thriving community of competitive players who value skill based gameplay. The platform will host regular tournaments and competitive events with meaningful rewards to build excitement and long term engagement.
A key goal is to promote fair competition through a decentralized and transparent approach, while avoiding pay to win mechanics. Monetization will focus on ethical models such as cosmetic items or tournament entry fees that do not compromise fairness.
Community engagement is also a priority, with plans for feedback loops through forums, polls, and social integration. Gameyard is designed to help undiscovered talent gain visibility, potentially opening pathways toward professional competition.
Long term, the vision is to build a full competitive esports ecosystem, partnering with leagues, streamers, and influencers to showcase high skill gameplay and grow the platform’s reach.
Q: Can you give us any hints about what’s coming next?
On the technical side, Gameyard is focused on building balanced competitive games that reward reflexes, precision, strategy, and long term mastery.
Upcoming features include skill based matchmaking, detailed performance analytics, leaderboards, and progression tracking. Anti cheat and anti exploit systems are being developed to protect game integrity and maintain trust.
The platform is also being designed for cross platform accessibility, with support for desktop and mobile devices. In the future, AI driven training tools and practice systems may be introduced to help players improve and climb the ranks.
Q: Anything you’d like to add?
Gameyard is built for players who care about competition, fairness, and growth. The vision is to create a place where skill speaks louder than hype, and where talented players can prove themselves on equal ground.
This is about building something long term, with the community playing an active role in shaping how the platform evolves.
That wraps up this edition of Meet the Dev. Stay tuned as we continue highlighting the builders, creators, and innovators shaping the future of the Pepe Unchained ecosystem.
