It’s been a busy few weeks, so we wanted to send an update straight from the core team to the community. We’ve got our L2 rollout plan to share, plus we’ll be peeling back the curtain a little on the tech that powers our new Layer 2.

We chose Arbitrum to power Pepe Unchained’s new Layer-2 because it brings real-world benefits to our community. In plain terms, it’s like giving Pepu its own fast, custom-built highway, still protected by Ethereum’s top-tier security.

Scalability: Arbitrum lets us scale big time. Imagine upgrading from a packed one-lane road to a wide, multi-lane highway. Transactions can zoom through smoothly without congestion.

Customizability: We can shape our own space with rules that fit Pepe’s unique needs. We’re not stuck with a generic, one-size-fits-all chain. We can fine-tune our Layer-2 to deliver the experience we want

Security (Powered by Ethereum): Even though we’re launching our own chain, we’re not sacrificing safety. Pepu Layer-2 inherits Ethereum’s rock-solid, battle-tested security.

Lower Fees: Nobody likes paying high gas fees. With Pepu Layer-2, we keep costs way down because it won’t be packed with outside traffic. That means no sudden fee spikes every time hype hits Ethereum or Arbitrum One.

In short, Arbitrum gives us speed, flexibility, and security, all while staying affordable and deeply connected to Ethereum. This is a community-first upgrade: smoother user experiences, more control over Pepu’s future, and a powerful foundation for the Pepe Unchained ecosystem to grow. We’re super excited about this new home and what it means for all of us moving forward.
