The past few months have been a journey, filled with progress, a few roadblocks, and the steady support of our community. As we move into September, we want to share where things stand, what’s been resolved, and what’s coming next for Pepe Unchained.
From the start, we’ve been clear that solving the L2 token issue was a priority, one that would allow holders to continue confidently without needing to sell.
Along the way, we ran into a major snapshot-related blocker that slowed progress and stretched timelines further than anyone expected.
That blocker has now been resolved, and with the path cleared, the team is moving forward at full focus. We expect a finalized solution to be ready early to mid September, putting us on track to finally put the L2 token issue behind us in September.
We’re incredibly grateful to the community for sticking with us through the process. It hasn’t been simple, but resolving this the right way, not the quick way, was essential for the future of Pepe Unchained.
Away from the technical trenches, we’ve also been quietly building something for the culture: Pepu merch.
We’ve been developing premium merch that reflects the spirit of Pepe Unchained. Each item is designed with detail, durability, and style in mind, a limited run made to stand out and stay with you.
In September, Pepu merch enters the final stages of production. Alongside this, we’re continuing to build out the Pepu webshop, where merch will be available for purchase directly with $PEPU. The first limited batch is nearly ready, and to celebrate, we’ll also be rolling out exclusive community giveaways.
More hints are coming soon , but expect a real taste of Pepu IRL.
Our ecosystem is strengthened by collaboration. We’re excited to announce that a community dev-driven partnership is in the works to expand PumpPad.
With development blockers cleared, the team is now pressing forward at full speed. Expect September to bring meaningful enhancements and new functionality.
Community builders are the heart of Pepu. That’s why we’re continuing our Meet the Dev series, spotlighting the developers driving innovation in our ecosystem. We’ll also continue our commitment to devs through our developer group, creating more opportunities for builders to connect, share, and grow within Pepu.
The first articles highlighting the top 3 projects voted for during the latest season of HoRa VoteBot will be released in early September. These projects were chosen by the community, and their stories will be showcased in depth to celebrate the builders shaping the Pepu ecosystem.

Transparency is essential. Midway through September, we’ll release another development update to keep the community fully informed on progress, milestones, and any adjustments to the roadmap.
In September we aim to resolve the L2 token issue, bring Pepu merch through the final stages of production, expand PumpPad through collaboration, and spotlight the builders shaping Pepu’s future.
To keep everyone aligned, we’ll also begin sharing an upcoming monthly plan at the end of each month moving forward, giving the community a clear view of what’s ahead.
We’re building Pepe Unchained with the community, for the community. Thank you for being part of the journey.

Pepe Unchained: Migration to Our New Layer-2 Ecosystem
Migration OverviewDue to the deprecation of Custom Gas Tokens (CGT) on OP Rollups, which were integral to our previous infrastructure, we have made the strategic decision to migrate Pepu Unchained to a new, fully secure Layer-2 solution powered by Arbitrum.
