These are just some of the industries, blockchain technology is going to disrupt:
Banking, Cyber Security, Supply Chain Management, Internet of Things, Insurance, Cloud Storage, Charity, Government, Healthcare, Energy Management, Retail, Real Estate.
But whilst the aforementioned will be disrupted on a contractual level, the fashion industry will be the first one that DAOs will profoundly change on an organisational level.
One reason is, that scaling effects are massive and investments in smaller brands non-existent. This means you have to work for one of the big brands to get to the top and to be able to show your craft. And there are just so many of those jobs existing.
The other reason is, that change is simply a necessity because fashion exploits people and the planet to an unimaginable extent.
Both of these problems are structural. DAOs solve this through being decenralized. There are still hierarchies, but they are very fluid and depend on time invested and merits achieved.

And with so many options on the table, a single workforce entity will always opt for the morally superior project which then becomes the norm through network effects.
I am already getting sinals from the industry that they are having problems hiring talent. With emphasis on talent, as the digital vanguard realises that there is a better, fairer and more fulfilling option for them going solo.

The means of production are being seized by the creators. Fast.
