Ahoy, today we are introducing combat quests in Exploration! So, load the cannons and raise the sails for our foes be encroaching on Parrot’s Perch, and it be time for them to taste our iron! This week’s update introduces a new Energy System that is tied to the account (wallet) of the player rather than the individual pirates. This is a significant change to our public Beta, please check GitBook for more information and let us know your feedback on Discord. As part of this change, we also made a number of balancing revisions to the Quests.
Game
Energy is now wallet-based instead of per-pirate.
The maximum amount of energy is capped at 150 per wallet.
Energy is now replenished by 1 every ~10 minutes
Updated Bounty duration: 12 hours → 11 hours
Updated Quest UI to call out when Pirates have Quests queued up so the status of a Pirate’s Quest it’s more clear.
Quests that have Mystery Bag rewards will have their rewards queued up inside a Mystery Bag as Quests are completed. Click the bag to see what you got from Quests with variable rewards.
Fixed an issue in which players had to refresh the game to see their replenished energy.
The team is aware that there may be a power leveling strategy that could emerge involving transferring pirates. This strategy has been preemptively nerfed through the reduction of XP gain. The team will be monitoring player behavior after this update to see if additional mitigation steps are required.

Fixed an issue in which Voxelized Pirate art was not appearing for the player’s Captain.

New Bugs
The first time a player does a Quest with full energy, the energy amount deducted may appear incorrect. A refresh updates the energy meter to its correct status.
Pirate Captain needs to be reset upon first load up after this release.
Settings are reset with this release.
