Recently, Varun (@v) made this cast.

Here are the points I am struggling with.
It's difficult to find past communications.
I remember the interactions, but there's no way to go back and find them.
It would be really helpful if we could search for messages between myself and another user.
Additionally, many ideas have been suggested in response to this question. Here are a few of them.๐
Filter search to a channel
Having a search icon in the user profile page to pre-filter to that user and in the channel header to pre-filter to that channel would be great.
Search a specific channel or users casts
(even better would be having option to use date filters)
Very specific in the word order or it doesn't return what I want!
Sometimes I know who casted 2 or 3 words And it's still not enough to find.
>> It should handle spelling errors, synonyms, and related terms to provide accurate results(Accuracy).
"@username <search terms>"
in order to find old casts that I remember someone sent about a topic It's almost impossible to remember a cast and find it. You end up having to scroll through the user's profile and hope it was recent enough to find it easily
Canโt find anything at all, Even my bookmarks
Bookmarked too many cool things. I can only scroll back so far before it doesnโt make sense to scroll.
How can I search for a keyword from a cast from a specific user?
>> Use from:username (e.g. "keyword from:pohe") will show my cast
Personalization
Tailoring results based on the user's interests and past behavior can improve relevance. Results should be highly relevant to the search query, prioritizing content that matches the user's intent.
Search should include users bios
Following this comment, the FC's search function was updated a few days later!
It appears that 1) channel-specific searches and 2) search for casts by specific users have been added.
(Searching by username used to work before, but its a lot more resilient to missing .eth's in the username other minor changes that should make it easier to find the right casts.)
1. Type "in: /channel xxx(Phrase)" to find casts with hello in that channel
It helps with searching within a specific channel.
I tried typing "in /farther hello" to search.

2. Type "from:username xxx(Phrase)" to find casts with hello from that user
You can now look back at casts from specific users.
I tried typing "from:pohe guide" to search.
๐กWhen searching exactly as the cast instructed, I couldn't find the relevant cast. ใใ
-> However, once I removed the space after "from:", the search worked perfectly.

However, since you need to remember the search syntax to perform the search, it would be helpful to have a dropdown list or something similar.
It turns out other users feel the same way.
I hope the search functionality improves even more.

Buoy is a search engine designed to enhance your experience on platforms like Warpcast. It offers advanced search options, allowing users to filter by channels, users, and other criteria. Buoy also integrates with a notification system, providing users with timely updates based on their search queries.

๐How to use๐
Some users even say they don't face such issues because they use Buoy.
We should consider using it more in the future as well.

Searchcaster is a specialized search tool for the Warpcast platform. It allows users to search for specific content, users, and posts within Warpcast.
Searchcaster offers advanced search features, such as filtering by date, popularity, and relevance, helping users find the information they need more efficiently. It is particularly useful for users who want to navigate through the vast amount of content on Warpcast with ease.

I tried typing "pohe" to search. All casts containing "pohe" will be displayed.

On the initial screen, only text search is available, so you can't search for specific users. To search for users, go to "Profile" at the bottom right.

Currently, the only way to quickly access past casts is by using another application. I hope this helps reduce the time everyone spends on searching.
