Velo Launches Digital Dollar Accounts in Brazil with Portal: Velo, the new digital dollar account, offers people in Brazil and the US one of the fastest and cheapest ways to conduct cross-border payments. Held in self-custody wallets powered by Portal, users have full access to and control of their assets at all times. The accounts are backed by stablecoins, allowing users to store their money in digital USD, with the ability to off-ramp funds at any time with instant settlement.

Product updates and additions: In the first quarter of 2024, Portal released several significant updates to its SDKs across multiple platforms, including passkey backup + recovery, performance optimizations, eject feature, and much more.
