While there are 1 Bn Internet users, there are only 80 Mn unique addresses in Web3. For Web3 projects and developers to attract users and contributors, the onboarding onto Web3 has to be simpler.
Contributors or superusers of consumer social media such as Twitter, Reddit, Discord, Github, LinkedIn etc. have created enough clout but find it difficult to start from scratch in a new Web 3 ecosystem. This friction in switching and non-transferability of clout is made more complicated through navigating the steps of creating a Web 3 wallet, remembering seed phrases etc. As a result, most of these curious but frustrated superusers generally tend to drop-off before they onboard let alone participate in on-chain tasks to build a portfolio. As a result, Web3 developers and projects miss out on the opportunity of working with these superusers.
Enter Dfolio (www.dfolio.xyz).
Dfolio provides the bridge for onboarding these superusers onto Web3. During on-boarding, users can sign-up through either across web2 platforms (Discord, Twitter, Reddit, Github etc) or existing web3 wallets.
Our framework aggregates users’ social activities across web2 platforms, translates them into on chain credentials and finally a clout score for the Dfolio profiles. As part of improving their clout, users can progressively connect their existing web2 accounts and other web3 wallets to their Dfolio profiles.

Dfolio’s credential network acts as a foundational block for Apps & communities to acquire users for their projects. Example campaigns that such communities can design for could include:
NFT airdrops and/or whitelists
Token airdrops to users who completed certain tasks
Credential-gated campaigns
Credential-gated events
& many other use cases…
One of core goals as part of on-boarding traditional Web2 contributors on our platform is to get them to start contributing on their 1st task within a few minutes. Hence, our onboarding experience is custodial is nature where joining via a web3 wallet is optional.
We set non-crypto-native users up with a familiar experience (e.g. email logins / Web2 logins) and then offer them the non-custodial option further down the user journey. Once the users need to start making transactions (for example, to encash their earnings) we give them the option to self-custody and enter the broader web3 ecosystem.
Based on our credential profiling algorithm and user’s input data, we recommend certain initial tasks to users. Getting users to take up their 1st task is a key part of our user activation experience as well to ensure liquidity.
Users can track their earnings within their profile itself. However to realise their earnings in tokens, users would need to connect their Web3 wallets to Dfolio.
Apps & communities, who are looking for contributors with certain credentials, can create a campaign and its related tasks on the Dfolio dapp. There are two kinds of campaigns that the Dfolio campaign manager module currently supports:
Open bounties that any Dfolio user can sign up: App or community admins can interact with the user and agree on the task formalities
Closed Bounties or Targeted Campaigns for specific Dfolio users: App or community admins can target users with specific credentials (for example: users with Twitter blue tick, users who are admins in Discord servers, users who are stakers in DeFi protocols like AAVE etc.)

If you are a App or Community admin and want to keep abreast of our launch dates or be part of the early user campaigns, please join our waiting list at Dfolio (www.dfolio.xyz)
