Most people carry a quiet illusion: the belief that their mind is fine just as it is. Yet behind that mask often hides inner conflict, self-sabotage, and the endless pursuit of goals that never truly belonged to them. I know this because I lived it too.
I tried quitting bad habits, and changing the routines. Those changes helped on the surface, but the deeper turmoil stayed. The problem was not outside of me. The real issue was the noise in my own head: desires, fears, opinions, and the constant need for approval.
My psychedelic trips revealed something I could never have unseen. For a short while, all the noise stopped. No cravings, no worries, no inner dialogue. Just silence, clarity, and freedom. That moment was worth more than years of struggling to fix myself from the outside.
True freedom is not about becoming numb, nor about decorating life with borrowed philosophies. It is about no longer being ruled by the clutter of your own mind. Once you see this, the world does not need to change. Your perspective changes, and suddenly you are able to live.
This does not mean rejecting life or hiding from it. It means facing it with your own eyes, without filters imposed by others. It means realizing that freedom is not given by gurus, books, or systems. It is a choice you make when you stop letting illusions dictate your life.
🔖 P.s. These reflections are drawn from the voices of experienced people, from books, from countless discussions, and from my own encounters with psychedelics and illusions. I write them as signposts for those who wish to move beyond illusions and walk freely.
