Polyhedra Network is a Web3 infrastructure project leveraging Zero-Knowledge Proofs (ZKP) technology to enhance security, scalability, and interoperability across platforms. Currently in the alpha mainnet phase, Polyhedra aims to streamline interactions between blockchain networks.
zkBridge
zkBridge facilitates the transfer of assets, NFTs, and messages between networks using zk-SNARKs, a ZKP-based proof system.
It integrates with LayerZero to improve transaction speed and security while offering a developer-friendly environment.
How it works:
Block header relay network: Receives block headers from the source network, generates ZKP-based proofs, and sends them to the updater contract.
Updater contract: Verifies the received proofs and block headers, ensuring seamless token transfers between networks.
zkLightClient
This technology, integrated with LayerZero, uses ZKP to optimize security and transaction validation.
Advantages: Faster, more efficient on-chain transaction verification, lowering costs while maintaining security and correctness.
Developers can freely integrate zkLightClient into their applications on LayerZero.
zk-DID (Decentralized Identity)
A verifiable credential system built using ZKP that offers:
High security: Ensures compliance with KYC requirements without exposing personal data, protecting user privacy.
Interoperability: Compatible with W3C standards and other authentication data, enabling easy transition from Web2 to Web3.
Note: zk-DID is still under development.
zk-NFT
A protocol for NFTs and tokens focusing on privacy and interoperability.
It encrypts data and assets with ZKP and utilizes zk-DID to verify ownership.
Use Case:
Provides secure cross-chain asset transfers, protecting user assets from potential risks during transfers between networks with different rules.
Increases transparency by verifying transactions across bridges.
Components:
Data: Continuously updated, stored either on-chain or off-chain.
Assets: Includes NFTs (ERC-721, ERC-1155), fungible tokens (ERC-20, BEP-20), or other zk-NFTs.
LayerZero Integration: Simplifies development by building on LayerZero’s protocol.
High Security: ZKP ensures strong privacy and security across all products.
Polyhedra Network offers a robust ZKP-based infrastructure for Web3, enhancing security, privacy, and cross-platform interoperability. Its products—zkBridge, zkLightClient, zk-DID, and zk-NFT—provide solutions for asset transfers, identity management, and secure NFT interactions, ensuring scalability and efficiency across networks.
