I am but a mortal walking in the realm of giants, so I decided to learn how to grow. I spent a chunk of time learning how to use Etherscan.io, and figured why not see what some of those giants in the ReFi community are up to. If you are not a glutton for punishment or have the bags, do check out the ReFi Real Time Alpha Telegram Channel. This is where the lead farmer @hufhaus9 shares the farm’s trades live (I’ll be there soon frens). So what I want to know is, if the people a lot smarter than I hold $ReFi, what else do they hold. This is a fairly simple process for which there are myriad tutorials available.
About the process and assumptions. All values were taken at the same time stamp but will vary depending on when this is being read. This being my first dip in the “Wallet Forensics” pool, I am going to severely restrict the data set. ReFi helps this a bit by having a hard cap of 2% the total $ReFi supply (1B * 2% = 20,000,000) as the maximum for any one wallet. The lower bound was set at 1% total supply. This should give us the cream of the crop, and can be expanded for future analysis. When I first started this I expected to have to limit the number of additional holdings, so I only looked at other tokens that were of a significant portion of the wallet, more on that later. I did not include any “functional” tokens where they do not have a set value, nor did I include any consideration for NFT’s. The other restriction is, this assessment was done only on the Ethereum chain. While ReFi also operates on the BNB Chain, that will have to wait for another time.
So what did I find?
18 wallets hold more than 1% each of $ReFi.
4 wallets are maxed at 2%.
I want to give props to 0x68…b06f for the most and best amount of $ReFi at 19,999,969.420.
The average holding is 15,983,523.457 $ReFi at a value of $368,655.60.
$ETH
It should be no surprise that every wallet held $ETH, given $ReFi holders receive it every two weeks from farm profit.
What was surprising was only 6 wallets held more than 1.0 $ETH.
$USDC is the favorite stablecoin based on the fact there is 35x more than the next most of $UST.
Only 6 wallets held any other significant position.
This excluded $ETH and stablecoins.
Only 3 of the 6 wallets held more than 2 other tokens.
Token : No. Holders : Total Qty. Held : Total Value Held MRI : 1 : 6020500 : $222,593.16 ITGR : 2 : 726761.493 : $58,977.55 MVI : 2 : 430.659 : $50,662.20 SWISE : 1 : 230165.833 : $25,881.89 HEX : 1 : 200001.077 : $25,512.71
What does all of this mean? Well if I knew that, I’d all ready be in the Alpha Chat. However, to me it looks like one wallet believes in $MRI almost as much as they do ReFi. Additionally, two wallets both hold a goodly portion of $ITGR and $MVI, so I may be looking there next.
I want to give a big thanks to the ReFi community for the inspiration and guidance to set me on this amazing crypto journey. While there MAY be a little interesting alpha here, this was more of an exercise in interpretating Etherscan data. It should also be noted that the wallet’s positions in the alternate tokens discussed above pale in comparison to their positions in $ReFi. Showing that there is great support from the top of the holders list.
Thank you for reading and remember to DYOR and stay safe!
