ETH Dublin 2025 Retrospective
A week of code, culture & craic in the heart of Dublin From May 23–25, ETHDublin 2025 brought together the misfits, builders, artists, and thinkers shaping Ethereum's cultural frontier. This year’s gathering was an experimental blend of hacker ethos, local identity, and regenerative imagination, punctuated by folklore, first wallets, technical deep dives, and tender human connection. Here’s what we learned, what worked, what we’d do differently, and where the forest of possibility leads ...

Why you shouldn’t come to ETH Dublin
Why might you think twice about visiting the Emerald Isle? From the high costs to complex visa processes and shit weather, we have laid it out for you here. We are heavily dependent on imports, which of course, the consumer pays for. Our indirect taxes (VAT) make the average person Ireland feel robbed for w...

The hackers you meet in web3
2025 is upon us and ETHDublin a mere 5 months away. Most of our hackers thus far have been first timers, so for anyone out there that might be curious, as you never know who you might bump into, here are the people you’ll meet any a typical web3 hackathon. Disclaimer: this is for to be ‘a bit of craic’ and is not intended to offend our stereotype any person or group.Hacker archetypesKicking us off is The Visionary. A Celebration of Innovation, Community, and Global Collaboration across Dublin.
YES -- you read that correctly. LFG #DublinTechWeek!
Dublin Tech Week is a community-driven initiative celebrating innovation and technology. It brings together Dublin’s tech community, educators, creatives, and the public and offers a vibrant programme of events designed to inspire collaboration and showcase Dublin as a global tech hub.
ETHDublin is the only dedicated event in Ireland bringing focus to Ethereum and web3, allowing builders of every background to experiment hands-on with decentralised technologies.

We are delighted to participate in this initiative alongside Blockchain Ireland Summit, as it is a real vote of confidence for decentralised technologies and the builders using them.
Dublin Tech Week is also in partnership with:
Dublin Tech Summit (Ireland’s biggest Tech event)
Dogpatch Labs (Ireland’s startup hub)
Tech Ireland, GEC & ADAPT.
The teams behind these organisations, including ours, all share similar values. We believe in Dublin’s position as a leader in technology and innovation. We believe in collaboration across industries and disciplines. We believe in hands-on experience for the next generation of builders and entrepreneurs.
Together, we are making Dublin Tech Week an annual highlight that benefits our respective communities.
More importantly, being a part of Dublin Tech Week benefits you for participating at ETHDublin 2025, elevating your efforts as a hacker, volunteer or core team member.
Our dates are locked in for May 23rd to 25th. More details are coming in the New Year, including tickets for general attendees.
ETH Ireland is actively planning a bootcamp in the lead up to the main event for hackers of all skill levels. Our focus is on delivering harm reduction as a public good and the role of decentralised science in that. If you are interested in hearing more about that, check out this workshop delivered by Caolán Walsh at EthCC [7] in Brussels.
