Sarama
In all these years, I had never wondered about Vibhisena’s wife. I got called to her attention via the dud movie, Adhipurush, where she plays an important part in Lakshmana’s recovery from Indrajit’s vicious attack. She is the one who raises to Rama’s attention, the existence of the Sanjeevani herb that can serve as an antidote to the poisonous wound. This beautiful character garnered controversy for the wrong reasons. Sarama is known to have had a close relationship with Sita when she was at...
Happy 47th AK
AK would have been 47.. but alas! Still in my fond memories. Rushing to catch the same 5B bus as she would, walking back from Adyar Signal for a short furlong or two to Parameshwari Nagar and then a long trek back to my place.. Some things last such a short clock time and yet they last a lifetime in memory. This is an inversion of the Pareto principle where the most memorable incidents are also some of the most extreme emotions that one feels, whether pain, joy, success or of course, love. Re...

Pivots are hard. But pivots are necessary. They are the way to break from the norm. They are the way to get out of the mediocre. When it is a successful pivot, people will know. They will acknowledge and they will resist before they embrace. Sometimes a pivot means letting go, letting go of erstwhile success.
You let go, and you will fly, you will reach heights you did not know existed. You release yourself from the bonds of expectations, from boat anchors and fly you will if you had the conviction to. Wings will come from somewhere, for those that want to fly. If you fear hitting the ground before you take off, you will not fly.
Today is a day of reward for that conviction. A small dot on an analysts 2x2 and how that moves shows the reflection of a year’s worth of work. Sometimes that’s all you need. We are but a speck of dust.
Talking about AI as I always do in these posts, the job of analysts will be taken over by AI. AI will guide us on Market Research someday soon. Foundational models will be able to analyze submissions and determine position. Who is working on models that will replace analysts, take a fraction of the time to produce waves, radars, quadrants?
