Taiko is a fully open-source, permissionless, decentralized ZK-Rollup equivalent to Ethereum, supporting the complete Ethereum Virtual Machine (EVM) opcodes in its secure layer-2 architecture. It offers a seamless experience similar to using Ethereum while providing scalability benefits.
The project secured $15 million in its Series A funding round held on March 2, 2024, led by prominent investors including Faction VC, Hashed, genventures.xyz, and Token Bay Capital.
Step 1 - Get Ready with Rapid Nodes Create a Rapid Nodes Account:
Head over to our platform and sign up for an account Fund Your Account with credits to purchase the node.

Step 2 - Purchasing Taiko node
Head to your Rapid Nodes dashboard.
Select "Taiko" and choose your desired rental duration.
Upon plan selection, a dedicated section will appear to paste your Blockpi Holesky API. (Learn how to obtain this in later steps)
Confirm your purchase
Monitor the "Active Nodes" section to verify deployment

STEP 3: Obtain the BlockPI Holesky API
Visit the BlockPI website and click on "Launch App."
Log in using your Google account credentials.
Complete the account setup process by providing the necessary verification details.

STEP 4: Generate the API Key
Confirm your chosen pricing plan.
You will then see a prompt. Select "Ethereum" and "Holesky Network" from the options provided.
Assign a name to your API Key (e.g., TaikoAPI).
Click on the "Generate" button to create your API Key.

STEP 5: Obtain and Copy Your API Key
Access your BlockPI dashboard and navigate to the API key section.
Your API key will be displayed in the following format: https://ethereum-holesky.blockpi.network/v1/rpc/[YOUR-API-KEY]
Copy the portion that reads [YOUR-API-KEY].
Return to your RapidNode Dashboard (as shown in Step 2) and paste the copied API key.

Congratulations! You're now all set to run your Taiko node.
Post Deployment Steps:
STEP 6: Grab Your Keys
Once your Taiko node is up and running on RapidNode, you'll need to retrieve your wallet private key from the “Active Nodes” tab.

Step 7 : Import Taiko Node Wallet and Add Holesky Network
Open your preferred wallet provider (e.g., MetaMask) and import your new wallet by using the private key you just saved.
Visit Chainlist and connect the wallet account you imported earlier.
Search for "Holesky" and add this network to your wallet. Don't forget to enable the "Include Testnets" option.
Once added, confirm the Holesky network integration within your wallet.

STEP 8: Fund Your Wallet with Holesky ETH
Visit the Holesky Faucet website.
Paste your wallet address in the provided field.
Request and obtain some Holesky ETH to begin mining.

STEP 9: Claim Faucet Tokens and Track Progress
Once you've mined enough Holesky ETH, claim your well-deserved rewards.
Check your wallet to confirm the claimed rewards.
Stay updated via the BlockPI dashboard.

Thank you for setting up your node!
