When we launched our Mirror crowdfund back in April 2022, we awarded anyone who contributed 0.05 ETH or more a Rehash NFT. Depending on the NFT received (Listener NFT for 0.05+ ETH contribution and Podcaster NFT for 0.5+ ETH contribution), the holder received certain governance rights within our community, such as nominating podcast guests or voting on guests and other DAO proposals.
Since then, we’ve grown our community to over 1,000 individuals, developed our long term vision for Rehash DAO, and published an entire podcast season of Rehash: A Web3 Podcast.
Many of the new friends we’ve made along the way (and old friends who didn’t have the funds to contribute to our crowdfund) have asked how they can join Rehash DAO. Our answer has always been “we’re working on it,” but now we’re ready to announce a new mechanism for you to join – without making any financial contribution!
The Rehash core team are big believers that you shouldn’t have to have money to be part of a DAO. If you’re enthusiastic about joining a community because you’re aligned with their values and have skills to contribute, that should be enough to gain membership.
Over the last couple of months, we’ve asked ourselves: “what’s the biggest value add for Rehash right now?” and the resounding answer each time is “promotion.”
As a still relatively new podcast and DAO, we need all the help we can get to promote Rehash and reach as many listeners as possible with our podcast.
That’s why we’ve decided to award the creators of the top 20 most engaged tweets promoting one of our Season 2 podcast episodes with an NFT upgrade and a proportional share of our $2500 pool that we’ve set aside for Season 2 Twitter promotions.
Anyone (except the Rehash core team) can participate by creating tweet threads, episode recaps, memes, highlight clips, or any other Twitter content related to any of our Season 2 episodes, and the creators of the 20 most engaged tweets will be awarded an NFT with governance rights as follows:
If you currently hold a Listener NFT, you’ll be upgraded to a Promoter NFT with voting rights
If you currently do not hold any Rehash NFT, you’ll be given a Promoter NFT with nomination (but not voting) rights
Below are some examples of the type of content you could create:
Take your favorite clip from our full length episodes and highlight it on Twitter!
This clip from our conversation with Katherine Wu really made us think:
It’s a toss up whether we have more fun making these or our audience has more fun watching them.
Static memes inspired by our podcast episodes are cool too. This one was inspired by our conversation with Scott Moore from Gitcoin.
We all have different perspectives on things - we’d love to hear yours!
Andy shares his personal takeaways from our conversation with Matt Gould from Unstoppable Domains:
And Carl shares his favorite quote from our conversation with Gary Sheng from DreamDAO:
Note: If you’d like to create a video or audio promo clip, you can find all of our episode files and brand assets you need in the “Creative Assets” section of our Clarity base. If you need help finding this, please reach out to tylerinternet#9574 in our Discord server for help.
We’ll be selecting the top tweets on August 1, 2022, so get your tweets in ASAP so they have time to accumulate max engagement!
We can’t wait to see who our winners are! 👀
