After taking a short break to focus on shipping podcast episodes, we’re back with our weekly updates on what’s happening at Rehash DAO!
We’ve got tons to report on, and Mirror’s new “subscribe” feature was the impetus we needed to get these weekly recaps restarted knowing that they’ll reach a larger audience now.
TLDR;
Rehash: A Web3 Podcast Season 2 is complete and available for purchase on OpenSea
Season 3 guest nominations start next week
There’s still time to earn a Rehash NFT and participate in the guest nomination and voting process for Season 3
We’re accepting podcast sponsors for Season 3
This week was the most monumental one we’ve had since launching Rehash back in April 2022. We wrapped up Season 2 of the podcast and minted all 17 episodes as NFTs.
These NFTs are more than mere collectibles - they also confer an ownership right in the DAO. Holders of these NFTs will be able to nominate and vote for their favorite guests to appear on Season 3 of the podcast.
If you’re running low on ETH (🐻 we get it 🐻) but still want to participate in the next round of guest nominations and voting, you can earn an NFT by participating in our social promotions contest. Here are the deets.
Speaking of social, Rehash is getting more social! We just launched a TikTok and Instagram, where we’ll be posting podcast highlight clips, meme videos, and whatever other fun content we come up with. If you like our content, follow us and share our page with a friend who might enjoy it too!
Nominations and sponsorships!
Now that Season 2 of the podcast is completely wrapped up, we’re looking ahead to Season 3.
Early next week, we’ll be starting a new round of guest nominations and voting. Last season, we used Snapshot for DAO governance, and this season we’ll be testing something new.
Over the last few months, the JokeDAO team has been hard at work building out a new governance platform that seems to have been built specifically for our purposes.
With the JokeDAO platform, any holder of a Rehash NFT will be able to submit a nomination for their favorite guest to appear on the podcast next season as part of our Season 3 Podcast Guest Contest.
All holders of Podcaster NFTs, Queen of the Pod NFTs, Podcast Guest NFTs, or blue Collector NFTs will receive a token airdrop that allows them to vote in the contest. Each airdrop will consist of 16 voting tokens (corresponding with the 16 episodes that will comprise Season 3 of the podcast). Token holders can decide to use their tokens in whichever way they choose (i.e. placing all 16 votes on one guest or dispersing their 16 votes on 16 different guests). We’re excited to see how this experiment plays out!
Another new experiment we’re running for Season 3 is accepting podcast sponsorships for the first time! Our sponsorships come with a twist - we’ll be custom writing and recording each sponsorship ad in a creative and engaging way so that listeners don’t simply fast forward through them but will actually listen to them! More on this to come in the near future 😊
Here are some things we’re currently hashing out with our DAO contributors:
Structuring the DAO by seasons to help us better stay focused on one main goal at a time
Launching a web3 content/media agency to help web3 companies and projects with their content and marketing needs
If you have any ideas to share or want to keep up with the conversation, join us on Discord!
