We wrapped up guest nominations for Season 3 on Wednesday of this week and kicked off our voting process, which has been keeping us on the edge of our seats so far. The gamification aspect built in with the help of JokeDAO has made this governance round the most fun I’ve had as a voter. Who knew governance could be so fun?
TLDR;
Season 3 guest nominations ended with 44 incredible nominees
Season 3 guest voting is now live
Podcast sponsorship applications due August 15
We applied to Seed Club!
We ended our nominations period with 44 incredible guests who are vying for one of 14 spots available on Season 3 of the podcast.
You can see a full list of our nominees on our voting contest page here.
This season, we decided to use JokeDAO instead of Snapshot for our voting process. In many ways, JokeDAO seems like it was made for Rehash.
One thing we liked about JokeDAO was that it enabled us to mint and airdrop a new, non-transferable ERC-20 token to our voters specifically for the purpose of voting in this contest. We were also able to airdrop as many tokens as we wanted to each voter and set our own rules for how our voters would be able to spend their votes.
In our case, we spun up a new token called $PODVOT3 and airdropped 14 tokens to each voter (corresponding to the 14 guests we’ll be inviting onto Season 3 of the podcast) to be used in any combination they prefer.
Another feature we really liked with JokeDAO is its randomization feature. Each time you login to the contest or refresh the page, the order in which nominees appear on your screen will be randomly scrambled, so no single nominee consistently shows up at the top or bottom of the page. This helps reduce UI bias that occurs all the time in voting.
Who’s eligible to vote?
All holders of Podcaster NFTs, Queen of the Pod NFTs, Podcast Guest NFTs, or blue Collector NFTs are eligible to vote. At this time, voting tokens have been airdropped to all eligible voters, and new NFT holders will not be able to participate in voting until next season.
How can I vote?
Voting is easy (and fun)! Here are the steps to vote for your favorite guests:

Connect your wallet, and make sure your network is set to Polygon.
Click “Vote” next to the nominee you’d like to vote for, and type in the number of votes you’d like to give.
If you run into any issues or have any questions, hop into our Discord, get verified to access our token gated channels, and we’ll help you sort it out!
We announced podcast sponsorships earlier this week, and we could not be more excited!
We have 3 ad spots available for our upcoming podcast season and are looking for values-aligned web3 projects to partner with.
You can read more about what partnering with us for an ad spot would look like here, and if you’re interested in working with us, apply here by August 15!
Earlier in the week, we saw a tweet from Seed Club about accepting applications for SC05, and we decided to apply!
If you’re a $CLUB holder, you can view our application here and give us a boost if you want to see us in the next Seed Club cohort!
An announcement about our Season 3 guests next week!
We’ll also be running a contest to vote on our Season 3 podcast sponsors, as well as announcing some future plans for the DAO.
Here are some things we’re currently hashing out with our DAO contributors:
Structuring the DAO by seasons to help us better stay focused on one main goal at a time
Launching a web3 content/media agency to help web3 companies and projects with their content and marketing needs
If you have any ideas to share or want to keep up with the conversation, join us on Discord!
