We dove deep into the Moloch DAO ecosystem this week with two new episodes on Moloch DAOs and DAO building in general with Spencer Graham from DAOhaus and the dynamic duo, Kseniya and Nich, from MGD.

We also applied for our first Gitcoin grant and launched a new way for people to earn from our treasury by helping us spread the word about Rehash!

This week we dove deep into Moloch DAOs by speaking with Spencer Graham from DAOhaus on Tuesday and Kseniya and Nichanan from Meta Gamma Delta DAO on Thursday.

Spencer has contributed to many DAOs over the years -- mostly within the Moloch DAO ecosystem -- so there’s hardly anyone better than Spencer to help us understand what Moloch DAOs actually are. Spencer also explains the idea of capture-resistant governance which leads us to touch on power struggles, resource management, contributor incentivization, hierarchies, and the potential of web3 to replace traditional top-down systems with flatter networks.

After we got a basic understanding of Moloch DAOs from Spencer, we went on to speak with Kseniya and Nich from Meta Gamma Delta (MGD) DAO, a parody sorority turned grants DAO that’s also built on the Moloch DAO framework.

We talk about how MGD started, how it has evolved, pros and cons of using DAOhaus on mainnet, how MGD fosters its community (a community of mostly women), how MDG distributes grants, and more.

Here’s how you can participate:

2. Drop your link in the #promos channel on Discord.

3. At the end of the season, the top 20% of most engaged tweets will be compensated from our Promo treasury fund AND awarded a Listener NFT (for those who don’t currently hold any Rehash NFTs) or upgraded to a Podcaster NFT (for current Listener NFT holders). Our membership NFTs give you governance rights in our DAO.

A new Gitcoin Grants round opened on June 8, and Rehash is participating!

We created Rehash in April 2022 as the first community-driven podcast DAO with nothing more than three core values and a 12-episode podcast season.

Over the last month or so, Rehash has grown into a much larger long term vision -- to become an exclusive web3 media brand that helps content creators build web3 content and media projects (called "productions" at Rehash DAO).

Each production will operate in a web3 native way when it comes to governance, work, and monetization. For example, podcasts will be minted and sold as NFTs to generate revenue for the podcast creator and Rehash DAO.

Our May 2022 Expense Proposal is now live on Snapshot. Anyone who holds a Podcaster NFT or Queen of the Pod NFT is eligible to vote.
