【中文】【やまと】【Русский】BackgroundHow will the Arweave ecosystem develop in 2023? Arweave is identified as a significant player in the data storage track, with distinctive features that provide permanent storage and secure access control for individuals. Jessica, Founder of Relation discussed the socially programmable privacy solutions being developed on Arweave, which enables users to customize their privacy settings based on their social relationships and the context of their interactions. Relation Protocol, building privacy-preserving web3 social graph for the next billion users
【中文】【やまと】【Русский】The value of social decentralizationThe construction of Web2 social applications is now largely mature, and there is a great demand for sticky social applications from users. Still, there are also some pain points of centralized social media networks, where users have limited control over their data and content and are subject to censorship, algorithmic manipulation, and privacy violations. Traditional centralized social media platforms have dominated the market for a long t...

Relation: The Data Explorer on Web3 Social Graph
When we log in to social platforms such as Facebook and Twitter, recommendations will come out to push us to relevant acquaintances, celebrities, KOLs, topics of interest, mobile phone contacts syncs, etc., to facilitate personalized recommendations. Our activities on the platform form a social graph and become profit-generating data assets that are owned by the social giants. The fact is, being evolved from the content-centric Web 1, these Web 2 applications are turning the read-only web int...

.bit and Relation have reached a partnership to provide Web3 users with a self-sovereign Decentralized Identity (DID) solution. With integration on the way, the partnership will see Relation listing .bit account name registration, creating unique and reliable DIDs for Web3 users by linking .bit with Relation ID. When it comes to data sovereignty, .bit and Relation share the same vision. This is to say that an on-chain identity created with this model can be seen as a data container fully controlled only by its owner, similar to the Data Space on Relation. In essence, it gives data sovereignty back to the rightful owners.
As a part of the cooperation, Relation plans to airdrop a certain amount of .bit account names to the community. The account name will have a significant status on Relation, creating a unified identity for the users by linking the name with the Relation ID. Furthermore, .bit can be used as an account for storing digital assets and an address for accessing general internet services, with the cross-chain capability to support public blockchain addresses on Ethereum, BSC, Polygon, Tron, and more. In the future, users can even create sub-account names and distribute them to form a community of their own. For more information on this, please follow our Twitter.
Kyle, the co-founder of .bit, expressed his excitement about the partnership. He echoed that his vision for user-centric data sovereignty is in line with that of Relation. With native cross-chain support, .bit is a perfect match for what Relation Labs is building – a decentralized Web3 social graph connecting multiple blockchains. “We empower Web3 data producers with 100% ownership, giving them easy and open access to the data value they create. In the Web3 social network arena, we believe .bit and Relation Labs together will have unlimited potential.”
Santry, CMO of Relation, said that the project has already partnered with PNS, another account name service provider in the Polkadot ecosystem. She shared the same excitement regarding the new partnership with .bit. As an essential Web3 infrastructure, DID is a fundamental identifier in the decentralized space. Through the partnership, Relation can provide a self-sovereign, secure, and privacy-centric identity solution supporting multiple blockchain addresses. “We believe .bit will surprise us more with their expertise in the future.”** **
About .bit (Previously DAS)
Your decentralized identity (DID) for Web3.0 life.
.bit provides a globally unique account system with the .bit suffix. The leading technical architecture of .bit allows both blockchain and non-blockchain users to use it without permission. .bit’s “cross-chain” feature is achieved in a way of cryptography-level security. As a DID system, .bit meets the ultimate requirements of Web3.0.
.bit makes your asset transfer more convenient and secure. It can serve as the unified username in different Dapps. It can be used as a portal for Dapps. It provides you with a decentralized personal homepage (.bit.cc). It bridges the gap between Web2.0 and Web3.0.
.bit comes in various languages such as hi.bit, 你好.bit, こんにちは.bit, 🚀🌕.bit, 안녕하세요.bit, Привет.bit and bonjour.bit.
