The only right way to start January is by telling you this:
Please, please, please do not start working towards all your goals in January.
Why? You’ve got 12 months.
But this is how people usually do it:
January: start working on 5 goals
February: still working on 4
March: realize they haven’t seen any progress because they have too many goals
May: say, “New Year’s resolutions never work anyway”
June: give up on all 5.
Listen — there’s a better way;
January–February: focus on goal #1
February–March: focus on goal #2
You get the idea.
And no, you don’t have to do it exactly like this — but I want you to get this:
Sequence matters.
Focusing on goal #1 makes it easier to achieve goal #2.
I got this idea from a story Leila Hormozi shared, where she said people can’t start with a lifestyle business immediately — first, you need to create demand and systems that can sustain it.
And I’ll admit — she’s right.
In my last company (a combined marketing agency and behavioral psychology consultancy for female entrepreneurs in Norway), I can see now that I wanted to remove myself from operations too quickly. I lost the overview and the direct client contact before the products, employees, and systems were ready for it.
And to quote Chelsea Handler
"I like to make my first experience my last experience if it's not positive."
(Basically, don´t repeat mistakes)
So now I care a lot about sequence — just like in school:
you have to finish one class before you move on to the next.
All of this to say:
Pick your domino goal now in January, by asking:
Answer that > Hit that goal > Then pursue your next goal.
Life update:
I´m real happy I took 2 weeks off, I needed it - but I´m also so so SO happy I´m back.
Mosty back to dance classes and this chapter of my business.
I have so much cool happening in 2026 - can´t wait to take you along for the ride!!!
