Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs) on https://sating.io and their solutions
I have been getting this error message “Failed to submit the parameters. Service is Unavailable. Please try again later” What does this mean?
If you are getting this error message, this means that the marketplace is in maintenance and going through an upgrade. The community is always alerted when the marketplace is back online.
I have special sats which I want to Inscribe on them, will my remaining sats be spent on fees?
No, your sats won’t be spent on fees like other current wallet does. If your sat is a rare type that is consecutive in range for example, Pizza, vintage, block 9, block 78, you have to inscribe on the last sat. You’ll have to enable postage setting to drag the slider to enable you adjust to the number of sats you want to inscribe on. for instance if you have 300 pizza sats and you want to inscribe on it, drag the slider to the end and stretch the slider backwards to fit the number of pizza sats you want to inscribe on. However sating will not spend your special sats on fees as sating considers special sats.
Is this same for Uncommon sats?
No, in the case of uncommon sats, they are not continuous/consecutive sats. they are scattered, so just inscribe on any of the uncommon sats. You don’t have to worry about your sats being spent.
What address do I insert as a receiving address when buying sats?
You can receive your sats through taproot (bc1p) or a native segwit address (bc1q). However a taproot address (bc1p) is recommended
Can I Inscribe on an already inscribed sat?
No, this is because ordinal protocol does not support inscription on an already inscribed sat.
I want to inscribe on my sat but I keep getting this error message “Failed to inscribe on sat 256852678*****, rare/interesting sats around sat (256852678*****) what does this mean?
If you get this error message, this means that there are rare sats within the sat range. This is because rare sats are protected by default during sating. You have to enable SAT RANGE SETTING checkbox so the site assumes the user is aware of the presence of rare sats and still wants to go on with the inscription process. However, sating will not spend the rare/interesting sats found within the sat range.
I can’t inscribe on my rare/uncommon sats, the transaction keeps failing and I have enough BTC why?
This is because most UTXOs in your wallet are valuable sats or inscriptions, therefore sating will not use them to construct transaction for an inscription. You should check your protected balance to see how many common sats can be used. In this case, the common sats is not enough to cover for the new inscription. In other words, you need to deposit more common sats. (More bitcoin)
If for example, Inscribing costs 0.009 BTC, is 0.01 BTC enough in the wallet?
It depends solely on your sat location. If sat resides in a big utxo and has many uncommon sats before it, these sats can not be used as rate/inscribe fee. You need to deposit more.
Is there a problem in transferring my sats from a single wallet to an HD wallet?
There is no problem when you try to move your sat form a single wallet to an HD wallet. Use the transfer sat feature on https://sating.io
How can I Inscribe on my sats?
Here is a link that covers inscription on all sats
My address has an ordinal, will they be spent as gas fees?
No, when inscribing on an address with other ordinals, ordinals will not be used as gas fees.
I’m trying to inscribe an image on my sats but it appears blurry on the site.
This is a slight UI issue which will not affect the actual image. What you inscribed is what you uploaded. No change resolution/quality.
I have rare satoshis in my wallet. How do I protect it from being spent when i send bitcoin?
This is very possible to do. Some current wallets do not recognize rare satoshis and spend them alongside your bitcoin during a transaction. However a wallet like Sparrow can enable a user to lock/freeze the utxos containing rare sat, to avoid loss. https://sating.io also offers more creative means of protecting your rare satoshis from being used/spent. If your rare satoshis are in other current wallets, firstly you need to import your key into Unisat wallet. After successful importation, visit https://sating.io and connect your unisat wallet and transfer the rare sat to an address that you want to keep the rare sat safely.
Payment is pending on my inscription history… Why is this so?
If payment is pending on your inscription history, it depends on the fee rate set.
I can’t login with my Xverse/Sparrow/Hiro Wallet.. Why?
This is because currently, sating.io only support the use of Unisat wallet. However, you can import your keys to unisat wallet and connect to our website.
