“But it was something I became obsessed with because I thought it was so beautiful. Like how could Earth look like that? And when you get to these river braids and you seem them, they’re absolutely massive but just looks like a river. It’s a massive river, but it just looks like a river. So you’re like ‘oh, it’s just a river’. But as soon as you get above them, it’s wild. So it’s just something that I fell in love with. ” - MEESH, SHILLR CURAT3D Podcast, Episode 3.

For any Media Pass Holders, join our Discord and verify via Vulcan to hear the fourth episode of CURAT3D with last week’s feature on Bernardo’s Art Café Space Case, hosted by our Director of Media, Boona! The episode will be available on all platforms soon!

Here’s a clip from hafftka chatting about onboarding traditional art institutions:
“I don’t think artists need more responsibility than the responsibility to create. We do not have to onboard collectors. We don’t have to onboard foundations. They’re not gonna listen to us anyway. The truth is, if artists come Web3, they [art institutions] will follow. They are followers and not leaders. Artists have to be leaders, and they way to be as an artist is to create. Let’s forget about trying to persuade people that will just say ‘this is a scammy environment, there’s no authority here’. They love authority. F**k ‘em. Forget ‘em.” - hafftka, Why Art? w/ SHILLR.

Here’s a clip from Andre’s chat with us, specifically on AI’s collective consciousness:
“It’s tapping into the collective consciousness, and that’s what I really appreciate about AI, or that’s what I think is unique or different about it. It’s a step further than a tool, right? It’s a little bit more than that, it has context in and of itself. It’s its own collaborator.” - Andre Oshea, Why Art? w/ SHILLR.

1/ Mediolanum is an artist who draws influence from anatomy, music, film & fashion to create work that portrays universal concepts, emotions & the complexity of human nature. They primarily create digitally but also include acrylic, oil and mixed media into their art.

2/ I vibe with Mediolanum's art because his anatomical style breaks down the emotional guard we all use. His admittance of emotional numbness & questioning of love are themes I deeply resonate with. Mediolanum's art seeks to understand oneself by exploring these difficult ideas.

3/ A great entry into Mediolanum's work is through 'Can You See Through Me?'(OpenSea link) The detail in this piece is incredible. I love the inclusion of eyes, both human & wolf, playing into emotional sight. The comparison between vision & understanding is powerful.

4/ If I had unlimited ETH I would cop 'Slaughterhouse'(SuperRare link) Though this piece comes across as dark, it's a rather beautiful reminder of the fragility of life. Mediolanum suggests that our end, like that of slaughterhouse animals, may be right around the corner.

5/ You should scope out Mediolanum's art because he compares the complexity of the human body with that of human emotions. It is through the complexity comparison that Mediolanum also shows us just how similar all humans are when we peel back the layers & drop our guards down.

If you're interested in checking out other artists I've featured or would like to recommend someone I should look into, head over to the below thread. Thanks for reading! ☕️ ✨ 💚

Hey kid, looks like you're searching for some art. Come see what I have in store 👇
