Original air date: 10/17/22
Austin is a lens-based artist most known for his signature series "Sleeping Suburbia", and has consistently lead by example by pioneering new ways to evolve his art.
“Collectors like to curate the artists. I'm kind of in the camp of curating collectors. Like, even if a collector collects from me, that doesn't necessarily guarantee we're gonna have a good relationship. Like, if I don't agree with the way that they operate, like I'll appreciate that, but I'm not gonna necessarily jump to their feet just because they collected something from me. And that's all integrity.” - Austin Visual, SHILLR VAULT3D Podcast, Episode 10.
For any Media Pass Holders, join our Discord and verify via Vulcan to hear the episode hosted by our Director of Media, Boona! The episode will be available on all platforms soon!

“Because I had to represent myself very early on. I learned a very hard lesson that doing good art and they will come is just a lie. It's just not true, it's, it's a stinking lie and I hated it. And, and that, you know if people don't know who you are, they just can't hire you.” - Shavonne Wong, SHILLR CURAT3D Podcast, Episode 13.

On “Why Art?” with SHILLR, we had a grounding chat with Ariya Akhavan covering his journey as an artist Art has the power to do many things for us, all we have to do is let it
“Life is not easy to any degree, and it's also hard to understand a lot of times. And the power of art, in my opinion is, is a way to visualize or experience life a little bit easier, or have some sort of relatability through it, or heal yourself in some way.” - Ariya Akhavan, Why Art? w/ SHILLR.

On "GENERAT3D" with SHILLR, we had an insightful chat with Jorge Ledezma breaking down concepts to their truest form According to Jorge, computers can't make art, and here's why 👇
“When people say that that was made by a computer, uh, the computer doesn't have intention. The artist is the one with the intention. The artist is the one that's conveying the message and the concept. And for you to take a decision like that, you need to have an intention.” - Jorge Ledezma, GENERAT3D w/ SHILLR.

This week, we showcase an art gm artist, who has not yet been featured on the SHILLR Weekly Recap as part of Bernardo’s Art Café ‘From the Archives’. This week’s artist is Delta Sauce. Thread originally posted January 7, 2023.

Delta Sauce is an AI-collaborative artist who specializes in Liminalism, which brings to life familiar spaces full of nostalgia. Delta has a background in sculpting and has integrated that into his AI work to sculpt models & outputs to achieve a desired final image.

Delta's art speaks to me because of the intense feeling of nostalgia & comfort I get when looking at his work. The colors he uses presents spaces that are welcoming - spaces I can imagine myself sitting down with a friend to vibe, talk & game together for hours on end.

A sweet entry into Delta's art is through either "Comfort" or "Relax". Both are incredibly beautiful pieces.

If I had unlimited ETH I would toss a bid on Snow Glow - owned by batsoupyum. The cold but soft winter scene & footprints in the snow presents a mysterious feeling that leaves me wondering. I also love the shade of green here, often lost in the winter.

You should check out Delta's work because they've been using AI for years and have sculpted a unique style in the process. I truly feel that Delta has art out there that will resonate with anyone, which will hit you with a memory you forgot was there.

If you're interested in checking out other artists I've featured or would like to recommend someone I should look into, head over to the below thread. Thanks for reading! ☕️ ✨ 💚
