“Web3 for me was a cultural shift. It was a shift in values that said that they valued digital property as much as they valued physical property. And before, like anything digital was worth nothing you didn't really value it, and there's no way just to have ownership of it. But with NFTs and blockchain now, there is, but digital ownership has value. And so that is a big shift.” - Chikai, SHILLR VAULT3D Podcast, Episode 13.

“Because I'm a stay at home dad. It's not like I could just like turn on a podcast and listen to something like a Joe Rogan episode that's like three hours long. That was like what made me start is I just, I wanted something that was short and easy to digest and would get me knowledge about an artist relatively quickly” - Guy Norcal, SHILLR CURAT3D Podcast, Episode 16.

Monday on “Why Art?” with SHILLR | Presented by wildxyz ✨
We had an inspiring chat with Adewale Mayowa diving into his journey as an artist across many disciplines.
In this clip, Adewale breaks down his initial drive to create 🔽
“The drive back then was the drive to escape that life and find something that felt the most me. The most unique to my soul and unique to mycore, and that drive to express myself the way that only I can.” - Adewale Mayowa, Why Art? w/ SHILLR.

Thursday on GENERAT3D we chatted with Jared Poz about all things Squiggles and Generative Art 🔥
With regards to Squiggles, the surface-level simplicity lead to relatability, allowing him to connect at a deeper level to the art:
“The reason why I fell in love with the Squiggle is because it is very relatable, almost in a way that you could think that you could perform it yourself. I remember the first time I saw Pollock in person, you just go, "I could have done that." And then you realize that like there's a brilliance behind it and it's almost that relatability to the art that makes you, or at least for me, my story is I felt more connected to the art.“ - Jared Poz, GENERAT3D w/ SHILLR.

‘From the Archives’ is to showcase an art gm artist, who has not yet been featured on the SHILLR Weekly Recap as part of Bernardo’s Art Café. This week’s artist is jubbishjay. Thread originally posted Jan 26, 2023.

Jay is an adventure photographer & storyteller who shares his love for the planet through his craft. Jay has been taking snapshots of unique scenes for over a decade & currently roams the country to uncover more breathtaking places to enjoy & share with the world.

I love Jay's photos because he pulls you right into the adventure with him. His art is unique because it is part visual art & part storytelling. Jay's work is not only impressive because it looks beautiful, but also because of the intense work that goes into every shot.

There's no better entry into Jay's work than through "Crowns", a collection of 12 stunning adventure photos formatted in 500x1500. At 0.09 ETH these are the most accessible entry into Jay's work & can take your Twitter banner game to the next level.

If I had unlimited ETH I would scoop up Heart of Hylia - a massive aerial panorama from 1,000ft above a volcano. This photo is 12 images stitched together to create the final version, which makes for such a unique & special piece of art.

If you're interested in checking out other artists I've featured or would like to recommend someone I should look into, head over to the below thread. Thanks for reading! ☕️ ✨ 💚

Hey kid, looks like you're searching for some art. Come see what I have in store 👇
