Web 2.0 and Web 3.0, what are the differences between them , and what benefits do users get when using those ?
In order to clarify this , first we have to talk about their definitions.
Web 2.0 is the website we are using currently, such as Facebook, Youtube, Instagram,Twitter, etc. The one thing all these apps have in common, is that the company that created the app get to keep all of its user database, which means they are centralized . This means that Web 2.0 community have no control over their data or how they are stored. So, If the company meet some issues, or if they try to sell the data for monetization, web 2.0 users couldn’t do anything about that.
So, in order to tact with all these, web 3.0 was born in 2010. Using Blockchain technology, Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML), Web 3.0 enables computers to analyze data in the same way that humans do, which aids in the intelligent generation and distribution of valuable content according to a user's specific needs. This leads to the major difference between Web 2.0 and Web 3.0 community : Decentralization. Since it relies on Blockchain, Web 3.0 users have full control over their data, no one could save or sell it out. Moreover, all the users data are stored directly on Blockchain nodes, which means that they can not go down if anything happens. Lastly, the tech-savvy in web 3.0 community can not only use the web normally like other users, but also flexibly contribute to it as developers to earn themselves numerous tokens or NFTs.
Having all of these captivating features , web 3.0 undeniably becomes a paradise to every internet user, doesnt it?
