Fusaka Hard Fork
Core developers on Ethereum announced this week that the network’s Fusaka hard fork is scheduled for Dec 3rd. The announcement was made after the EF and Sherlock released a $2M audit contest on Tuesday. Fusaka ships blob expansion and PeerDAS data-availability.
Impact - cheaper rollup blobs (~15% cost cut), safer EVM evolution, and native hooks for intent-based transactions

dAI Team
The EF has launched a new unit called the dAI Team, led by researcher Davide Crapis. Its aim is to make Ethereum the go-to settlement and coordination layer for autonomous AI agents and the machine economy.
Base & Consumer Rails
Amex NFTs: 70K “Travel-Stamp” NFTs minted on Base - mainstream loyalty infra abstracting away wallets
USDC Lending: Coinbase partners with Morpho to offer up to 10.8% APY on Base
Base Token: The Base team announced that it is exploring a native Base token. Analysts note potential valuation upside but flag regulatory risk if the token conveys fee rights.
Activity: Daily active addresses steady around 1.5M, keeping Base the busiest U.S. L2
Aave v4 Roadmap
Introduce a unified liquidity layer
Transition to ERC-4626 accounting for simpler integrations
Add cross-chain risk engines and automated leverage vaults
Overhaul the treasury model, redirecting an estimated $120M+ in annual fees into staker rewards and insurance
Since 86% of Aave’s revenue already comes from Ethereum mainnet, the plan also includes consolidating away from underperforming L2 and alt-L1 deployments.
SEC ETF Rule Change
A new generic-listing standard trims approval timelines from months to weeks and broadens eligible custodians. Analysts expect crypto ETFs to double within a year as Solana and L2 products race to file.

AI + Payments Meta
Autonomous machine-to-machine commerce is becoming core crypto infrastructure.
Google AP2 - The new Agent Payments Protocol built with EigenLayer lets AI agents hold stablecoins and schedule transactions. Deloitte forecasts $400B in annual AI-driven payments by 2030
Pump.fun ATH - Daily volume cleared $1.02B (≈ 20% over the previous record) with TVL peaking near $335M. Its 7 day revenue was $18M versus Hyperliquid’s $20M at just 1/3rd the TVL and 1/8th the FDV via DefiLlama
Linea Token Launch – Linea’s native token debuted at a $500M market cap, expanding its zkEVM ecosystem and opening new liquidity incentives
XRP Spot ETF - After debuting the first Dogecoin ETF, Rex-Osprey launched a U.S. XRP Spot ETF on Sept. 18, with CME set to list XRP options on Oct. 13
Gemini Slide - Gemini shares are down 24% post-IPO as Coinbase counters with USDC lending on Base via Morpho
Shibarium Exploit - A flash-loan attack involving $BONE drained $2.4M, knocking SHIB -18% week-to-date and triggering a wider memecoin liquidity squeeze
Syndicate Mainnet
Syndicate’s mainnet is live, bringing community-owned sequencing and programmable rollups to market. The launch introduced its $SYND token on Base/Aerodrome with early FDV estimates near $1.6–$1.9B, and over $40M TVL landed in the first 48 hours as 100+ investment clubs spun up liquidity pools.
Turnkey Programmable Compute
Turnkey is extending its embedded wallet kit with programmable compute, a new primitive that blends smart-contract logic with cloud-style, policy-gated tasks. These serverless functions execute securely inside enclaves and produce verifiable signatures, unlocking a new layer of trust-minimized, programmable infrastructure for wallets and applications.
Fusaka hard fork locks in December 3rd - Ethereum scaling via blob expansion and PeerDAS is official
Aave v4 roadmap channels $120M+ in annualized fees toward stakers while consolidating on Ethereum mainnet
SEC’s ETF rule change slashes approval timelines, setting up Solana/L2 products for rapid filings
AI + payments meta emerges as a core theme, with Google’s Agent Payments Protocol pointing toward $400B+ in machine-driven commerce
Pump.fun hits $1B daily volume, Shibarium exploit triggers a memecoin liquidity squeeze, and Base keeps leading U.S. L2 activity
Syndicate’s mainnet launch and Turnkey’s programmable compute expand infra beyond blockspace into compute, liquidity, and agent rails
The cycle shows crypto infra racing ahead by scaling Ethereum, wiring AI into money flows, and widening ETF rails for mainstream capital.
