Our progress with the SpiritDAO Community App in May was plagued with technical challenges, roadblocks, and errors. Despite this, we are progressing steadily and are optimistic about a completion date in the near future. This past month we had to scrap our plans to integrate Unlock Protocol in the app and instead moved to SpiritDAO owned membership NFTs, which allowed us to write in the governance functions absent from the Unlock tokens. This decision was made after weeks of troubleshooting.

Our Github repo is presently public, so interested members can contribute. Presently member Ron Rivers is the primary / sole contributor to the effort however more our welcome. Our telegram is a great place to connect around contribution.

When the DAO application is launched it will represent a full transition for SpiritDAO as we move more deeply into the DAO aspect, allowing for the shared management of resources and empowering greater co-creation.

On May 19th, 2025 SpiritDAO co-founder Ron Rivers was invited to speak at Ipê City pop-up city event, giving a talk titled Network States, Pop-up Cities, and Spirituality. The talk explored how these emerging movements can better align participants through shared directions and value orientations, providing an overview of how Temporal Naturalism serves to do just that. A special thank you to Eric Miki, a regular in the SpiritDAO Discord and Telegram for the invitation and facilitation.

SpiritDAO members Ron and Tressa Rivers hosted a local youth arts event in their community, leveraging our 501c3 for in-kind donations to support event costs. It was a great success where young creatives molded clay fish, snakes, cups, and more!

Given that it was focusing on youth arts, there wasn't too much talk of SpiritDAO (but Ron really couldn't help himself with some of the parents!)

These type of local events help strengthen communities and provide SpiritDAO members a means to spread our shared vision and values where ever they are located.
