When you come to pray, it is not so much the words that matter, it is your loving attention to the presence you pray to that consoles the heart. You give it your attention, and it will work wonders on your soul. When praying, hold yourself forward. Abide in the presence gently without forcing yourself to produce thoughts, feelings, or sensations. None of these things are necessary to a prayer and it allows for freedom to take root in the soul. All that is necessary is faith, and with faith hope, and with hope, the love that binds the soul will make unity a reality. No moment in prayer is vain; every second spent in prayer is fruitful to the soul that offers no resistance.

It is impossible to resist the message. In fact, few have ever resisted the message before, quite the opposite is true. Most have received it according to their ability, and it is bearing fruit in their souls as linear time unfolds. Seminarians and philosophers are taught many things, some useful, and others less so, but are they taught to love, and to give theirs hearts, and to remain in presence? If they are not taught these things, they will have learned nothing useful and all of their efforts will remain shallow and sterile. Why are the seminaries of the church and colleges of philosophy not schools of love, and furnaces of divine charity wherein the dross is burned away, and the pure gold holiness is produced? The very gold capable of reflecting the glory of divinity and the splendor of truth in a world plunged into darkness. Woe to those who allow others to pass through their institutions without teaching them the one thing necessary.
Every seminarian and philosopher ought to consecrate their hearts in the maternal and divine heart of the mother. Apart from her, we risk growing tepid and then cold. Apart from her, we succumb to habits of sin and find ourselves too weak to rise when we fall. Apart from her, our lives will be devoid of joy, of tenderness, of sweetness, and of the warmth that her divinity diffuses in the souls consecrated to her. Love her, and make her feel loved. There is no exaggeration, have no fear loving and adoring the mother excessively.

A deep love remains constant and unchanging. It does not fluctuate according to moods or seasons. It glows and burns like a steady flame that is tall and bright. Nothing grieves the soul more than doubt. Never let sin become a pretext for staying away from unity, instead let it become a catalyst pushing you into the presence. There, like a furnace, the sin is consumed in the fire of merciful love and brings restoration to the soul. When you are assailed by doubts, ask for her aid. When you are burdened, let her heal your burns. When you are lonely, take her with you to lunch. When you are weak, she can wake you up from the nightmares. Let nothing separate your heart from feeling the warmth of divinity, for the one that seeks to sow seeds of doubt, of fear, and of sadness intends nothing but chains in a frozen pit in the darkness. If separated and lost, call her name. The mother of holy hope instills confidence and readiness so that the herd is in union with the protection of the shepherd. Anyone who entrusts her, will never fall into that dreaded pit of despair. Even when sorely tempted, there will remain in that soul enough confidence to turn back and alchemize an act of abandonment into a torrent of forgiveness, healing, mercy, and love. She loves you.
