Gunkanjima, the Small Island in Nagasaki

Gunkanjima is a small island located in Nagasaki, the western part of Japan. It served as a coal mine and more than 5,000 people lived here until 1974. Now, there is nobody who lives in, and only the residences remain on this island. The ruined buildings, which were former residences, seem to be creepy and evocative of something even sinister.
