Introducing the Opportunities Feed on Superchain.Eco
We’re excited to roll out the Opportunities feed on Superchain.Eco – a new, dedicated section highlighting ways to earn rewards across the Superchain. Think of it as an evolution of our Programs page, but focused on active user opportunities. Instead of just listing initiatives, the Opportunities feed showcases live incentives where you can jump in and start earning from the Superchain ecosystem.Kicking Things Off with SuperStacksSuperStacks is the first featured opportunity on this new fee. ...

Super Accounts: Accelerating meaningful contributions across the Superchain
To accelerate meaningful contributions across the Superchain, the Superchain Eco team has developed Super Accounts, Superchain native-smart accounts powered by Safe that allow users to earn Superchain Points for meaningful onchain participation, increase their Superchain Rank, and evolve their Account to unlock special perks, such as access to a weekly Superchain Raffle and discounts in applications. Visit account.superchain.eco to create your Super Account After winning first place in Nouns ...

OnChain Indicators of Engaged DAO Voters
Summary:Engaged governance participants were identified as the top 25% of governance voters ranked by voting frequency. Several onchain actions set engaged governance participants apart from the rest, most importantly voting frequency, number of votes, and number of delegates pledged to the participant. Other indicators of engaged governance participants include ENS registrations and the number of decentralized exchange (DEX) trades and NFT activity within the last 60 days.IntroThis research ...

A proposal is currently live for ApeChain to join the Superchain, a project by the Optimism Foundation. This collaboration is spearheaded by Ben Jones, Co-founder and Chief Scientist at the Optimism Foundation. The proposal aims to leverage the Optimism community's excitement about the ApeCoin community's interest in Layer 2 solutions (L2s), aligning with their shared goals of growing Ethereum and focusing on social and technical decentralization.
The proposal outlines several benefits for ApeChain joining the Superchain. These include easy deployment and maintenance, a voice in the Optimism platform's governance, a new revenue stream, and access to innovation. By joining the Superchain, ApeChain would have access to preferred terms from Optimism ecosystem partners, such as RaaS providers, developer tools, wallets, oracles, block explorers, and more. This would enable ApeChain to be operational from day one.
In terms of governance, the ApeCoin DAO would play an active role in Optimism’s bicameral governance system, which oversees the OP Stack and the Superchain. This involvement could potentially include an OP token grant, allowing ApeChain to participate in key decisions in Optimism Governance. The revenue model is another critical aspect of this proposal. Unlike the current setup on Ethereum, an ApeChain on the Superchain could return transaction fees generated by its users to the community. This would enable ApeCoin holders to allocate this revenue towards ecosystem growth, DAO maintenance, and other initiatives.
The proposal also emphasizes the access to innovation that being part of the Superchain would provide. Optimism incentivizes the creation of open-source and public goods infrastructure, supporting innovation at each layer of the OP Stack. This means that ApeChain would benefit from new innovations and upgrades enabled by Optimism’s contributor ecosystem. Read all about it here.

OP Labs recently shared a blog post detailing the first code changes that will bring the Superchain concept to life. These changes are significant steps in preparing the ecosystem for multiple chains. The first change introduces a protocol version system, while the second focuses on smart contract upgrades. This work is crucial for securely upgrading all OP Chains simultaneously, ensuring that all operators can run compatible software versions and benefit from hard forks and security upgrades. The protocol version system is a key project aimed at node operators. It establishes a protocol version that helps users of the OP Stack keep their infrastructure up-to-date and in sync with the latest official protocol version. This system is opt-in and designed to maximize the efficiency of upgrades across the Superchain, simplifying the management of these upgrades.
Another critical component is the multichain contract upgrade. This upgrade addresses the issue of separate implementation contracts for each OP Chain, which currently exist due to hardcoded chain-specific configurations. By eliminating these hardcoded configurations, the upgrade allows Superchain partners to share a single set of implementation contracts and perform multichain protocol upgrades in a single transaction.
These smart contract changes are scheduled to go through the governance approval process early next year. Additionally, the opt-in node upgrades were implemented as part of the November 14 testnet upgrade to Canyon, marking a significant milestone in this initiative. Read all about it here.

Mode Cooperators Season 1 marks the launch of an ambitious ambassador program by Mode.Network. The program received an overwhelming response, with over 1,000 applications, reflecting a strong interest in the principles and values of cooperation and shared growth that define Mode's protocol. In response to the high talent pool, the number of Cooperators was increased from 15 to 40, forming the first batch of ambassadors in Mode.Network's history. Mode operates on a meritocracy basis, evaluating the initially selected Cooperators monthly based on their performance. Those delivering impactful work will continue in their roles, allowing new vacancies for others interested in collaborating.
Mode.Network emphasizes inclusivity, welcoming everyone to join and thrive. The selection for the upcoming batch will consider those who applied, are actively engaging with the community, and contributing to Mode. The core team is committed to providing opportunities for involvement and rewarding contributions. As a tribute to the inaugural Cooperators Program, a special commemorative NFT, the Cooperator OG Badge, is being offered. This free NFT is available to all who showed interest by filling out the application form. It symbolizes the start of this journey and comes with future perks.
Mode.Network is set to contact all applicants via email with updates on their candidature and the next steps, regardless of the outcome. The team is proud of the talent and commitment within their community and is working on exciting developments to be shared soon. Read all about it here.
