IOST node partner Sigma launches cross-chain bridge Sigma-Bridge
IOST node partner Sigma officially launched the cross-chain bridge Sigma-Bridge today. It is reported that Sigma-Bridge is an asset cross-chain tool developed by Sigma for fast asset transactions and contract calls between major compatible networks. It was originally created to realize two-way conversion between IOST and ETH assets, and now it can realize asset transfer between other ecosystems (such as IOST and BSC). In the future, Sigma will gradually expand Sigma-Bridge to other high-perfo...

The public chain project Sui Network announced on its official blog that this year, the Move programming language will be updated, providing developers with new ways to define data and call functions. These important new features make building applications on Sui even more flexible and in line with expectations for the latest programming languages. The update to version 2024 of Move introduces enumeration types Enums, macro functions, method syntax and many other new features to make it more powerful. As open source projects, Move and Sui allow the community to continuously improve. The following features will initially be tested in alpha versions, followed by release candidates and final versions. Some planned updates to Move will affect existing code.
The 2024 version of Move will be rolled out in a measured manner, allowing developers to test new features and update existing code accordingly. Developers can start testing the alpha version by specifying edition = "2024.alpha" in the "package" section of the Move.toml file. Features released under alpha releases will be unstable and may not compile. Release candidates will be released after these new features are relatively stable and breaking changes have been added. As with the alpha, developers will be able to test the release candidate by specifying edition="2024.rc" in the "package" section of their Move.toml file.
Early this year, probably in early March, the compiler will ask developers if they would like to move to a release candidate when they build their project. An automated tool then migrates the project to the new version, adds a version tag in Move.toml, and automatically fixes any breaking changes. Later this year, the 2024 Move update will advance from release candidate, and the "2024" version will become the default version for all new Move packages.
