SyFu’s DePIN × GameFi Ecosystem Expands Globally through Open Banking Infrastructure

SyFu, a pioneering project leveraging payment data to build a DePIN (Decentralized Physical Infrastructure Network), has formed a strategic partnership with Salt Edge Inc., a leading open banking platform headquartered in Ottawa, Canada. Through this partnership, SyFu gains the capability to seamlessly integrate credit and debit card payment data from over 5,000 banks across more than 50 countries into its application — enabling a new experience where users’ real-world spending transforms into digital assets in real time.
Salt Edge is a global leader in open banking infrastructure, particularly in Europe. Fully compliant with the PSD2 regulation and certified with ISO 27001 and PCI DSS, Salt Edge offers secure and reliable APIs trusted by financial institutions worldwide.
Through this collaboration, SyFu can now technically access and integrate payment data from users’ credit and debit cards automatically — without requiring any changes to their existing payment methods or additional setup. Note: bank account balances are not accessed.
SyFu has now established a system capable of supporting card data integration across 50+ countries and 5,000+ banks. As app-level integration is currently in preparation, users can preview the supported countries and banks here:

Note: The list of supported countries and banks will continue to expand. However, due to technical or regulatory reasons, some countries or banks may become unsupported, and the list will be updated accordingly.
One of the biggest UX hurdles for SyFu has been the manual process of importing payment data. With Salt Edge’s infrastructure, this bottleneck is eliminated. Users will soon be able to enjoy seamless experiences where simply spending with their existing cards powers the growth of their NFTs and the accumulation of tokens. This dramatically improves user onboarding and retention.
With global payment data connectivity, SyFu can now power NFT-driven loyalty programs, purchase-based proofs, and brand collaborations across borders. Enterprise partners will also be able to leverage consumption-based marketing campaigns where users’ real-world purchases trigger digital rewards, creating a new standard for Web3-native customer engagement.
This integration enables SyFu to visualize and tokenize economic contribution on a global scale. The ability to connect real spending data across geographies significantly enhances the credibility and utility of SyFu’s DePIN infrastructure — positioning it as a foundational layer for real-world Web3 use cases.
Salt Edge holds an AISP license from the UK’s Financial Conduct Authority (FCA), allowing SyFu to expand globally without taking on the legal and regulatory burdens in each jurisdiction. Combined with ISO 27001 and PCI DSS certifications, users and partners can trust in the secure handling of their data.
Following its integration with Japan’s Money Forward ME, SyFu will begin expanding to EU countries and beyond — turning everyday spending into verifiable, on-chain proof of contribution. This marks the beginning of a future where consumers can earn reputation and rewards simply by participating in the economy.
This partnership reimagines how open banking APIs are used — beyond budgeting and finance tracking — to create immersive Web3 experiences. By linking payment data with NFTs and token rewards, SyFu is pioneering a new model that bridges fintech infrastructure with GameFi.
Payment data has long been underutilized. SyFu gives it new meaning by converting consumption into provable contribution and economic identity. With Salt Edge’s infrastructure, SyFu will continue expanding supported regions and card brands to ensure more users globally can transform their daily spending into meaningful participation in the Web3 economy.

This partnership is a perfect example of how fintech infrastructure can power entirely new digital economies.”
“Partnering with Salt Edge is a major step toward the new society SyFu envisions — one where spending itself becomes an asset,” said Tomochika Kamiya, Founder of SyFu. “Without changing their existing payment methods, users can enjoy an entirely new experience in which everyday spending is visualized as economic contribution and transformed into digital assets. Through this collaboration, we aim to create a global cycle of value that seamlessly merges Web3 with the real economy.”
