India defeated Australia by nine wickets in the third and final One-Day International (ODI) at the Sydney Cricket Ground (SCG). Rohit Sharma scored an unbeaten 121, and Virat Kohli added 74 not out as India chased Australia's total of 236 with 69 balls to spare. 

While India won the final match, Australia won the three-match ODI series 2–1, having won the previous two games.
