Conduit: Infrastructure Platform for Optimism Rollups
Conduit is a crypto infrastructure platform that simplifies deploying production-level applications on Optimism-based rollups. It allows developers to focus on building without worrying about scalability, reliability, or upgradability. DeFi protocols, gaming platforms, NFT projects, and on-chain providers can utilize Conduit to expand their applications.
Rollup-as-a-Service (RaaS):
Conduit collaborates with Optimismโs Superchain and Arbitrumโs Orbit to offer enterprise-level RaaS solutions.
It supports over 30% of mainnet rollups and handles billions of requests daily.
Conduitโs RaaS integrates with Optimism and Arbitrum stacks, offering seamless migration between modular layers like settlement and data availability.
RPC Keys:
Developers can use high-performance RPCs without running their own nodes.
Conduit acts as a node provider, ensuring continuous network uptime with redundant infrastructure.
Autoscaling RPCs adjust to transaction loads, and security measures protect node operations.
Monitoring and Dashboard:
The platform provides a dashboard for clients to track activities and monitor product performance.
Several Layer-2 networks, including Aevo, Ancient8, Lyra, Mode, and Parallel, utilize Conduitโs services.
A key concern involves the "ConduitMultisig" wallet, which controls upgrades for 12 Layer-2 projects built on Conduitโs RaaS. If this wallet were compromised, all associated projects could be severely impacted.
Conduit founder Andrew Huang addressed these concerns, explaining that the wallet currently requires 3/5 signatures for access and will soon transition to 5/7 for increased security. However, risks associated with multisig wallets remain, as shown in incidents like the PEPE memecoin case in August 2023.
