the idea is to use x USD and explore web3 protocols and dapps with the hope to learn about web3 and be rewarded with some tokens eventually.
x can be literally every amount, should be probably > 100 though to have enough volume and flexibility to pay for gas fees. For this experiment x will be 1k.
nothing about this experiment is financial advice. Use only money you are willing to loose. Web3 comes with a lot of risks! Although I try hard to stay as safe as possible, make sure to DYOR and check if the projects and links you intend use are (still) safe.
I've created a new chrome browser profile and
downloaded the metamask.io chrome extension and created a wallet and
added the following networks

... downloaded coinbase wallet - especially to interact with XMTP DMs and join Satshi's Secret game: (at the time of writing messaging is supported in the mobile app only. transferring private keys to another wallet comes with some risks!)
I've decided to try bitget.com. I've never used bitget so I give it a try. My only use case for an exchange is to bring 1k USD onchain. My first experience:
KYC: worked flawlessly and very fast.
lots of payment types are supported, the exchange rate EUR/USDT looks quite bad though (compared to coingecko) €0.93 vs €0.904
gamification left right and center. I'm not a trader nor do I intend to shill bitget. 🤷
