Normal is the way we do it.
We have done it this way for many decades.
There is absolutely no reason to make a change at this time.
So says the conformist.
What if normal is not producing the best result?
What if we can do better than normal?
What if going outside the normal creates more opportunity?
Do we still embrace normal and stay stagnant?
It used to be normal to wait patiently and watch ads you are not interested in while watching movies on cable TV. Now, with streaming services, you are free from normal.
It was once normal to mail letters across continents and wait weeks for a reply from the recipient. The advent of email, instant messaging, smartphones have made what was once normal now obsolete.
It was normal not quite long ago to go to physical stores to buy most items that you need. Now, you can pretty much buy almost anything online and get them delivered right at your door. Normal is no longer satisfactory.
Normal hinders innovation
Normal crushes creativity
Normal constrains growth
It’s okay to like normal because of the comfort it provides
But to grow and improve, we must ditch normal and explore other possibilities.
So check around you. Are you a conformist and basking in the euphoria that normal brings?
Can you do better than normal?
Challenge normal and follow a new path to create new possibilities.
