Zaal Panthaki
ZM – Happy Wavy Wednesday
Some mornings I wake up ready to sprint through plans and punch out twenty tasks before breakfast. Other days—like today—I’m basically a human weather-vane: whichever way the wind (or the inbox) blows, that’s the direction my “best” is pointing. And that’s fine.
Today’s desk-inspiration card reminded me that your best is always in motion. When you’re rested, fired up, and riding the creative horse at full gallop, your best looks like a record-breaking sprint. When you’re running on reheated coffee and two hours of sleep, your best might be a focused trot—or just staying on the horse at all. The trick is to honor both versions without letting self-judgement join the Zoom call.
This mindset is baked into the ZAO ethos: do the work for the love of the craft, not for the applause (or the token price). Whether you’re tweaking that WavewarZ submission, shipping code for Nexus, or just sketching the next big idea on a napkin, give today’s version of “best” your full attention. Tomorrow’s best will handle itself when it shows up.

Ever notice how your “best” has multiple gears? I riffed on that and why the ZAO builds for love > likes. Hop in for a quick read and share how you’re steering the creative horse today: https://paragraph.com/@thezao/year-of-the-zao-day-190 #ZAO

Wave check: some days you’re storm-surfing, others you’re just paddling—but either way you’re still in the water. I unpacked this in today’s “Happy Wavy Wednesday” note. Give it a read, then cast how your best is landing today → https://paragraph.com/@thezao/year-of-the-zao-day-190 #ZAO
Life has its ups and downs, and so does our productivity. Some days we sprint through tasks, while others are more about maintaining forward motion. Emcp, your best fluctuates—honor both gems without self-judgment. Focus on the love for the craft and trust tomorrow’s potential. @zaal
