The lesson today is simple: don’t gossip.
When I was younger, gossip felt like currency. A way to connect, to hold attention, to signal that I knew something others didn’t. But looking back, every one of those conversations left behind a residue. Distrust. Distance. Misunderstandings that grew into conflicts.
Gossip isn’t neutral. It bends reality. When we share assumptions as facts, we plant doubt in someone else’s mind. Communities fracture not from big events, but from whispers repeated enough times to sound true.
The ZAO is built on trust, collaboration, and shared vision. Gossip corrodes that. If you catch yourself about to repeat something that isn’t yours to share, stop. Ask if speaking it helps build the culture we want. More often than not, silence is the stronger choice.
