The Base ecosystem is growing faster than ever, and the Base Guild roles on Discord have become a fun and rewarding way to get involved. By completing smart contract challenges on the Base Sepolia testnet, you can unlock roles that not only reflect your progress but may also bring benefits in the community.

In this blog post, we will go step by step through all five Base Learn roles, starting with Newcomer and ending with the ultimate title, Supreme. 🚀

The very first role is designed for complete beginners.

1. Open Remix IDE.

2. Create a new file named SafeMathContract.sol under Contracts.

3. Paste the code from this guide: Newcomer Code.

Compile the contract with Solidity 0.8.23+, then deploy it using Injected Provider – MetaMask on Base Sepolia.

After deployment:

• Visit this Base Sepolia contract page.

• Under Write Contract, connect your wallet and use the testContract function with your deployed address.

Once confirmed, head over to Guild.xyz Base Learn to claim your Newcomer role.

The second role requires that you already hold the Newcomer badge, along with three special NFTs:

• Storage Pin NFT

• Control Structures Pin NFT

• Arrays Pin NFT

1. Deploy the updated contract: Acolyte Code.

2. Interact with the following contracts using your deployed address:

   • Storage Pin NFT

   • Control Structures Pin NFT

   • Arrays Pin NFT

After completing these steps, the Acolyte role will unlock.

Now it is time for the Consul role, which builds upon Acolyte. By this stage, you should already be comfortable deploying contracts.

1. Deploy the new contract: Consul Code.

2. Test your deployed contract on these links:

   • Mappings Pin NFT

   • Inheritance Pin NFT

   • Structs Pin NFT

After successful tests, you can claim your Consul role.

To earn the Prefect role, you must first hold the Consul role.

1. Deploy the updated contract: Prefect Code.

   • While deploying, make sure the Submission option is selected in Remix.

2. Test your contract using these links:

   • Error Triage Pin

   • New Keyword Pin

   • Imports Pin

Completing these will unlock the Prefect role.

Finally, the ultimate title: Base Learn Supreme. To achieve this, you must already hold the Prefect role.

1. Deploy the final contract: Supreme Code.

   • Again, make sure to select Submission during deployment.

2. Test your deployed contract on these links to mint the required NFTs:

   • SCD ERC721 Pin NFT

   • Minimal Token Pin NFT

   • ERC20 Pin NFT

Once all NFTs are collected, you can proudly claim the Base Learn Supreme role on Guild.xyz.
