Protocol Updates

Julien delivered another series of updates this week after a short break:

• Key bug fixes and enhancements rolled out for upcoming events, including better attendee filtering and RSVP email options.

• A backend migration is underway to improve reliability.

• Ongoing work to repatriate funds from Arbitrum to Ethereum mainnet, with plans to move to Base next.

• Thanks to Blahkheart, a delegation step was added to the airdrop process to encourage better governance participation.

Operations and Coordination

• GG23 Completed:
  Participation in the recent Gitcoin round (GG23) saw strong community backing, though lessons were learned about optimal application categories for future rounds.

• Role Designs Update:
  Leah Sams is doing an incredible job refining the NFT role designs. These modular visuals will allow us to celebrate and showcase individual contributions within the DAO. Stay tuned for their release—you’re going to love them! In the meantime, follow Leah on socials, as her work is incredible!

• Devcon Forum Advocacy:
  Efforts continue to secure Unlock Protocol as the ticketing provider for Devconnect, with office hours scheduled for April 28 to pitch the solution. Please comment on the thread and help us push for protocol representation at Devconnect!

• Upcoming Community Spotlight:
  Today, we will be spotlighting Ceci Sakura in our new livestream series as the Steward of Marketing & Communications at Unlock. Join us here!

Member Relations & Governance

• Kara Howard SI3 Event Opportunity:
  DAO Member Kara announced the “Grow Edge” event series, launching at Consensus Toronto on May 14. This series blends education, media, and marketing for Web3, with a focus on thought leadership and business development.

• Ambassador Program:
  Trigs is developing a structured ambassador program, with a focus on educational collaboration, potentially with the Open Campus Accelerator.

• Open Campus Accelerator:
  Updates are currently pending the announcement of the next cohorts. We will keep you posted on further notices regarding our application to their accelerator.

• Automatic Small Task Rewards in Charmverse:
  DAO Member Will T proposed automating rewards for task completion via Charmverse, leveraging EAS attestations and UP tokens for streamlined, transparent incentives. Integration with Base is being explored for DAO alignment.

Finances & Resources

• ApeBonds Status:
  The long-anticipated token sale via ApeBonds is not far off anymore, as the last payment will be issued on April 24th. A group was created on Telegram to align marketing initiatives well in advance to maximize the launch's impact.

• Exploring Viable Business Cases:
  David and I are leading efforts to identify sustainable business models that align with our values while ensuring long-term growth. Please ensure to revise the Charmverse document and comment on it here.

Marketing & Communications

• Buyer Persona Proposal On Hold:
  As the proposal has not received sufficient engagement, we will put it on hold until the DAO has grown to be more self-sustainable.

• Finalized Content Strategy:
  A comprehensive strategy is ready, with clear content pillars (Web3 education, protocol education, spotlights, etc.) and an incentive model for community contributions. Community feedback is requested before DAO-wide voting and implementation.

• Social Media Content Testing:
  New content calendars and platform-specific approaches are being trialed. TikTok, LinkedIn, X, and our other platforms are experiencing increased activity. Join the fun!

• Ninja Promo Payments:
  We are still monitoring Ethereum price fluctuations but aim to launch the proposal on-chain by this Friday, the 25th of April.
