Hey Locksmiths!

We’ve had a dynamic week packed with milestones, new partnerships, and exciting opportunities for growth! Here’s your quick update on what’s happening across the Unlock ecosystem, from team improvements and governance wins to fresh marketing moves. Let’s dive in!

Core Team Updates

Julien and the team did some housekeeping:

• Migrated email infrastructure from Netlify to Cloudflare for improved reliability and transparency.

• Developed UI improvements, including clearer messaging for event approvals and attendee filters (not yet published).

• Reviewed and commented on several GitHub proposals. Among them, the one from Danni which is supposed to send funds to our Uniswap pool. Some elements had not been tested and therefore need further work, as this is a bit of a scary one.

• Clement prepared a proposal to move funds from Arbitrum to mainnet, pending submission.

• The team updated dependencies and undertook general maintenance, though no new features have been shipped this week.

Operations and Coordination

• Arbitrum DAO Milestone Completed
  Thanks to our collaboration with Huddle01, we have reached far beyond 5,000 locks on Arbitrum. Thank you to Ramit Agarwal from Huddle01 and Cecic Sakura, who is leading the initiative from our end. • PizzaDAO and Bitcoin Pizza Day
  Thank you to Snax and the PizzaDAO team for using Unlock for their event ticketing. We have seen increased activity, especially on Base. Ceci and I have been supporting Web3 newcomers in creating their events in a dedicated PizzaDAO Telegram channel. Keep an eye out for Bitcoin Pizza Day in your city. This is the super cute and recognizable flyer they designed:

  

• Discord Server Redesign
  Julien and I took some time to redesign the Unlock Discord server to make it less overwhelming and more accessible. Working groups now have their own section, a new welcome message and emojis were added, and a new weekly calls channel was introduced.

• GG23 Completed:
  Our participation has been completed, and payouts will follow soon. I will keep everyone updated so we can send the funds to the timelock as quickly as possible via the multisig wallet.

Member Relations & Governance

• Kara Howard SI3 Milestone Proposal
  DAO Member Kara presented updates on the Tally proposal and milestone achievements from a previous grant, highlighting successful workshops and ongoing certification partnerships. Please vote on the Tally platform. She also suggested brainstorming more on how we can track these types of success stories more efficiently and effectively, as she has introduced several people to us in the past and advocated for the protocol. Any ideas and solutions are welcome.

• Tally Staking with Coolhorsegirl
  Tally has expanded its services to include staking, aiming to align token holders with governance. Unlock has moved governance exclusively to Tally, retiring Snapshot to reduce friction. This might be the point to learn more about it. Please review some of the documentation Coolhorsegirl left us with to revise: Tally Staking System Explainer, Details on technical implementation, Staking Contract Repo and LST Repo.

Finances & Resources

• ApeBond x Unlock
  The Abond campaign is severely underperforming, and DAO members raised concerns about the lack of reciprocal promotion from our partners. I will reach out again to see what other activities we can produce to bring more attention to the campaign together!

• GMRA PR & Consulting Proposal Inconclusive
  During the call, we addressed a proposal by Wonderwomancode that was technically approved on the Snapshot platform but contains statements that couldn't be verified by the foundation's directors (Julien and Lana). Unless this proposal is clarified, it can't move forward to Tally. The reason is the high budget of the proposal for a centralized exchange listing at $212,000, which is currently unfeasible given treasury constraints and the fact that the foundation has not agreed to/ is unable to cover these costs.

• ExaGroup Tokenomics Audit
  Gary and Andrea from ExaGroup joined Discord last week to propose an extensive Tokenomics audit for Unlock to maximize the token's value proposition. Please revise in the dedicated Discord thread here. The main DAO opinion is that the price tag of $40k is too high and not feasible at this point.

Marketing & Communications

• Ninja Promo x Unlock
  Behind the scenes, Ceci, our Steward for Marketing & Communications, has worked relentlessly to provide our project manager, Helge at Ninja Promo, with as many details as possible for a successful collaboration. There will be weekly and monthly reporting structures for campaign analytics and coordination. Stay tuned for more and join our marketing calls every Tuesday!

• Huddle01 x Unlock
  Based on the successful partnership with Huddle01, we are considering extended partnerships with Ramit and his team! The idea is to extend the current questing to additional chains and projects to maximize impact and potential grant opportunities. • Major Win
  Thanks to Ceci, Unlock has been selected for a major crypto/ blockchain event in Bolivia. Web3 is starting to take a strong foothold in Latam, and it is exciting to be at the core of it all!

• Social Media Content Strategy
  I want to highlight once more the importance of the new content strategy proposal on Tally. It aims to supplement agency efforts with community-driven marketing for broader reach and a self-sustainable approach to marketing in the future. Please vote!
