The Urbit Dev Conference, called “The Volcano Summit”, now has a website and has begun accepting applications. This conference, unlike Assembly, is specifically designed for Urbit builders and investors. ~timluc-miptev and ~hodzod-walrus of Uqbar will be there to talk about Uqbar devex, and the rest of the panel are a who’s who of Urbit company leadership. The conference will be held from March 6-10th at the Santa Ana Volcano in El Salvador. Sign up now for a chance to attend!

Holium Corp have released their Realm alpha, though at the moment it remains invite only. Invites are slowly rolling out to those who sign up via Holium’s website. Click here to enjoy a user video of Realm in action.

Another busy week for the Uqbar team—check out some of their accomplishments:
~sillus-mallus spent the week prototyping the ui for Ziggurat's new Gall REPL view.
~hosted-fornet and ~dachus-tiprel
created a poke primitive for %pyro.
began integration of new %pyro poke with %ziggurat.
added a %deploy-contract interface to %ziggurat for easy interaction with virtualship testnet.
~hodzod-walrus
played real poker for the first time on Urbit, with zigs tokens fully integrated.
worked on contract type upgrades / new mar-esque system.
fixed a bug in the token standard.
prepared release 0.0.9 which could go out next week.
Alex Good explains how to do FinTwitter without getting charged by the SEC.
Scott Alexander explains why he’s less than infinitely hostile to crypto.
