~dachus-tiprel continues to update %blog with %rumors integration. Now, whenever you publish a blog, you’ll be prompted to share it on %rumors. This sort of composability shows how easy it is to build with Urbit, and how the technology is maturing, since we no longer use %rumors strictly as a catalog of episodes in Tlon CEO Galen Wolfe-Pauly’s crippling tofu addiction. IYKYK.

1
AJ LaMarc has brought TomeDB to replit. “Now anyone can develop an Urbit app without even running an Urbit.” Bravo! This extends the number of potential developers while still allowing those of us who can’t code but who can run an Urbit to remain smug for another day.

2
Giga Corp, which is an entity we know insufficiently much about, but which provided free hardship tickets to the Urbit Volcano Summit in El Salvador, and so must be in good taste, is throwing a boat party in a crater in a volcano. We will do what it takes to make Urbit the only legal computing platform, even if what it takes is sacrificing a bunch of zoomers in a lava pit.

3
The Urbit Berlin Meetup happens 23 February. Out of respect for German cultural norms, we will refrain from trying to be funny about it.
Another busy week for the Uqbar team—check out some of their accomplishments:
4
~fabnev-hinmur formatted Pokur for mobile, added Pokur wallet UI improvements, and added hosting signup flow to Pongo. More ways to lose money show your commitment to Urbit!
5
~sillus-mallus made a “secret update to uqbar.network” and polished Ziggurat to ensure consistent and predictable UI. Ziggurat now more polished than Frederic Chopin.
6
~hodzod-walrus merged optimistic sequencing work and along with ~timluc-miptev, got deposits and withdraws working for launch on Goerli. He also did important wallet reform. As should we all.
7
Here are weekly Urbit core developments by ~rovnys-ricfer. For core developments of your own: less cake, more crunches.
That’s it for this week. Be sure to follow everyone and everything listed in this week’s rollup.
Also, drop by our Twitter to learn when Uqbar’s Office Hours will be. And remember that Urbit’s On-nomi (Happy Hour) every Thursday at 1830 Eastern at the Urbit Hacker House on Gather Town.
If you’re on Urbit, join our group at:
~hocwyn-tipwex/uqbar-event-horizon-forever.
If you’re NOT on Urbit, amend your living. We can help you with that: find us on Discord (preferred) or Telegram.
Until next time!
